J.Crew Lovin'

I'm very anxious to not purchase maternity clothes and shop and my favorite stores.  I've had a J.Crew gift card burning a hole in my pocket and I can't wait to use it.  I know it's going to be some time before I'm fully in regular clothes but here are some of the J.Crew items I'm loving....

Emily Giffin's Latest Book!

Where we Belong
I'm so excited that one of my favorite authors, Emily Giffin, has a new book out this summer.  Where We Belong is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and will be available late July.  I have all of her other books in hard copy so I'm debating do I go with another hard copy or buy it for the Kindle like I have most of my recent books.  What do you think?  Are you going to pre-order?

Here's a description of the book -

Marian Caldwell is a thirty-six year old television producer, living her dream in New York City. With a fulfilling career and satisfying relationship, she has convinced everyone, including herself, that her life is just as she wants it to be. But one night, Marian answers a knock on the door . . . only to find Kirby Rose, an eighteen-year-old girl with a key to a past that Marian thought she had sealed off forever. From the moment Kirby appears on her doorstep, Marian’s perfectly constructed world—and her very identity—will be shaken to its core, resurrecting ghosts and memories of a passionate young love affair that threaten everything that has come to define her.
For the precocious and determined Kirby, the encounter will spur a process of discovery that ushers her across the threshold of adulthood, forcing her to re-evaluate her family and future in a wise and bittersweet light. As the two women embark on a journey to find the one thing missing in their lives, each will come to recognize that where we belong is often where we least expect to find ourselves—a place that we may have willed ourselves to forget, but that the heart remembers forever.

Due Date

My due date has come and gone.  Here I am at 40 weeks.  All my blogger friends that have been due with their babies around the same time as me have had their bundles of joy.  Not me yet.  I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of our sweet baby girl.  There is an end in sight though as I'm scheduled for an induction Friday morning.  So by this time next week Hubby and I will finally be with our sweet baby girl in our home.

My Baby Girl's Name Revealed

Since my sweet precious daughter is due on Sunday, I thought I would share with you the name Hubby and I picked out.  I promise there will be pictures of the nursery soon but I'm waiting on putting together a few last touches.

This beautiful piece of art work hangs above her crib and was done by my fabulously talented cousin (same one that did my maternity pictures).  We chose Ella because I absolutely love that name and Rose is after my grandmother (Ella will be her first great-grandchild).  Now we are just anxiously awaiting her arrival.  :)

Outdoor Spaces Are Ready

As we get ready for the baby, we needed to get things done around the house and one of the big projects was getting the outside of our home ready for the warm weather.  We got in done over a couple of weekends.

The front of our town house.  My hydrangea bush is in crazy bloom already.  I bet by next weekend I'll be able to start clipping them and put them all over my house.

The deck is ready for lots of cookouts.  Here's our table.  I think I might end of getting some solid color pillows for the four other chairs.

The lounge area of the deck.  I'm on the hunt for some cushions for these chairs that give some life to this area.  I planted a bunch a basil this year so I can make lots of homemade pesto.

Here's the newest addition to the deck.  A Potters Bench from World Market.  This is a great new addition that will house all my herbs and will double as a serving table when we barbeque.

And finally my garden.  We kept it simple this year since I won't have a lot of time to maintain it - cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and new this year, strawberries.  I'll keep you posted how it goes.

I'm trying to find a cute one piece or tankini bathing suit this summer to wear after I have the baby.  I saw this one on sale from Anthropologie.  What do you think?  Any other suggestions?

How Cute?!?!?!

How adorable is this bib?!?!  One of my dear friends from college sent it to me the other day for our baby girl.  I can't wait to see her in it.  Thanks Kara!!!!

Thrifty Thursday - Ebates Quarterly Check

It's time for my quarterly "Thrifty Thursday" Ebates post.  Here's my latest quarterly check!  Not my highest but definitely not too shabby.  My biggest cash back this month was via Target after I purchased the Bob stroller - $10.78!

For those of you new to this blog, this is by far the easiest way to earn FREE money by shopping online. All you have to do is go to Ebates, log in, search for the store you plan on shopping at, click the link and voila you are taken there and all you have to do is shop! Each store has a corresponding percentage of cash back. And the money just adds up. Every quarter Ebates will send you a check and all you have to do is cash it. My next Ebates check will be for over $100! If you haven't already signed up, I definitely recommend that you do. You get $5 just for signing up! Click here to start getting free money!
