It's been awhile since I've done Gift Idea Friday but I thought it was relevant with the recent birth of my nephew. For the birth of both my niece and my nephew I did "care packages" for their moms and "welcome to the world" gifts for them.
For the care packages I tried to include all of the necessities that new parents might need. This included diapers, wipes, pacifiers, wash clothes, burp clothes, receiving blankets, butt paste, bottles, etc.
The "welcome to the world" gift is specifically for the new baby. We include a couple of onesie's, a full outfit, bibs, and a very special stuffed animal that is picked out by my hubby (the uncle). The stuffed animal above is the
hippo that my hubby picked out for my nephew.

is it wrong that i'm 26 and sort of want that hippo for myself? :)
What nice gift ideas! It's so fun to put together gift baskets for people--but especially for a new baby!
