Five Friday Favorites - Holiday Pajamas

With Christmas fast approaching (I can't believe it's Thanksgiving next week), I thought I'd focus this week's Five Friday favorites on some of my favorite holiday pajamas.

#1 - Mae Festive Lights

I discovered Mae pajamas on Instagram over the summer and immediately got hooked.  These festive lights pair is my third purchase of her line.  Great quality, extremely comfortable and affordable price point.  I personally like to size up on my pjs for a looser fit.  Other prints/patterns available.

#2: More Mae Pajamas

Consider these pair number four from the Mae brand.  These are super cute and comfortable.  Love the gathered bottom so they won't drag on the floor.  Again I sized up for a looser fit.  Two other more winter vs. Christmas patterns available.

#3: Make + Model Pajamas
(LEFT: pajamas / slippers
(RIGHT: pajamas / slippers)

Both of these pairs of pajamas by Make + Model are from last year but the same styles have returned with different prints.  These are SOOOO soft and really great quality.  I size up in both for a looser fit.  Both options are also offered in non-Christmas patterns.  Really great gift for someone...or for yourself!

#4: Pajamas for Your Minis
(LEFT: pajamas and RIGHT: pajamas)

I couldn't do a post about PJs and not include some offerings for your mini.  I went to GAP (because of all the coupon codes) and Target this year for Big Mini (sorry Little Mini, you get hand-me-downs).  The GAP ones are super cute because it's not so in your face Christmas and she can wear them more year round.  I really like the Cat and Jack ones from Target because they are gathered at the bottom so she isn't tripping over it.

#5 - Family Pajamas
(LEFT: adults / kids)
(RIGHT: similar women / men / kids)

It wouldn't be Christmas in our house without matching pajamas...much to my husbands dismay.  Last year (photo on the right) we went the elf route from Target.  They have a very similar pair this year that I've linked.  I ended up sizing up two sizes because the small was still too snug for me.  This year we are going the really snuggly route with this pair from Children's Place.  There are SO many matching pajama options this year.  Check out ones from Target and Old Navy.

My Top Five Outfits from April

I can't believe it's May already...let's take a look back at April with my five favorite #OOTD.

Like so many of you, I was so excited for the Living in Yellow x Gibson collaboration and I think this yellow shirt is definitely my favorite piece from the line.  Perfect top for all year long.  Shop the full outfit - shirt, jeans, shoes (similar).

I'm 2 for 2 lately with Free People tops...which is very rare for me as they are usually too big.  Here are two of my favorite new tops in their full looks!

Love this casual eyelet top from LOFT.  It runs a bit big so you might want to size down.  And you can beat the amazing price for the blush flats from Target.  Shop full look - top, camisole, jeans, shoes

I couldn't have a fav outfits post without an all black outfit.  :)  This new statement necklace is going to be my go-to piece with my all black outfits.  Shop it all here - top, necklace, pants, flats

Fall Wardrobe Staples - Outerwear

Fall is by far my favorite time of year for clothes so I'm going to do a whole series on what I think your fall wardrobe essentials should be.  Many of these items I've had in my closet for years and they are my go-tos when the weather starts to cool down.  First up is outerwear!

Navy Blazer
It's not really outerwear but more a layering piece...wasn't sure how to classify this one so it's going in outerwear for now.  This is a go-to piece for me for work in the fall because it goes with soo many things.  I'm not a fan of the "lady" suit but I do love a good blazer and my navy one gets a lot of use.  The one pictured below is from J.Crew Factory (three years ago) and it has stood the test of time.  It goes with anything...a nice dress, a graphic tee or simple long sleeve shirt.  It can be paired with flats, boots or booties.  Here are three different looks I love -

Blazer - http://shopstyle.it/l/ffye
Tee - http://shopstyle.it/l/ffyj

Quilted Vest
I love a good quilted vest in the fall...I might have a slight obsession with them.  J.Crew started making them a few years ago and I began my collection with a fun orange one that I love to wear with a navy stripe shirt (seen below) and then J.Crew Factory had them at a much better price so I added bright pink and navy...and now this season I've added this patterned one to the mix.  What I love about these is I can wear them for a casual day/night out or if I'm lounging in my athleisure wear.  I've only ever gotten the J.Crew ones but they last, I have washed them and they come out looking great.  Here are a few ways I style it -

Utility Jacket
A good utility jacket goes with about any outfit. It's a great for a layering look and I love giving it a little something extra with a scarf for color.  I actually found the perfect utility jacket (in my opinion) from Madewell during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale...and it's still available here.  Great fit (runs on the smaller side so I'd size up, I'm wearing a small)...good quality and really looks good with anything.  Not a fan of this one, you can check out my blog post from a couple weeks ago where I featured a few other utility jacket options.  Here's how I plan on styling this jacket -
Jacket - http://shopstyle.it/l/fqo3

Fleece Jacket
A good fleece jacket is perfect for those really cool mornings or evenings in the fall and I like to give myself options depending on outfit.  I try to keep these types of jackets to neutral colors like creams and grays so they can go with anything.   Here are a two of my favorite fleeces -

FALL LOOKS - Utility/Field Jackets

One of my favorite (and item I was on the hunt for the longest) from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is this Madewell Catskills jacket.  In my opinion it's the perfect fall jacket...will go with anything...looks super cute by itself or paired with a scarf.  I can't wait to style.  I heard from a lot of you asking for similar options.  You asked, I delivered.  Here are some of my picks -

All of these options come in various shades of army green.  My favorites of this grouping (and the ones I think come close to the Madewell jacket are the LOFT jacket (top center) and GAP option (bottom center).
The LOFT jacket has a nice bright army green color and fitted look...soft twill and the opportunity to adjust the sleeves.  I wouldn't pay full price for this as LOFT is ALWAYS having sales!
GAP has always had a great selection of jackets and the quality is usually very good too.  This jacket isn't are bright as the other but still an army green color.  Has the utility/field look which I love and the collar is very similar to the Madewell one.  It's currently on sale and you can probably get an even deeper discount with the various check out codes GAP throws around.
