DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Online Purchases Part Two

Here's the second installment of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dressing Room Diaries of my online purchases.  The stuff is coming in slowly but I hope to have another compilation by the end of the week.  Happy Shopping!

TOPS
This BP pocket tee is another great staple to have in your closet just like the Lush V-Neck.  Great price (under $20), flattering, soft material and comes in all sorts of colors.  It's constantly being restocked during the sale so keep checking back if they don't have your size.

This is seriously the softest hoodie ever.  I don't really own a sweatshirt doesn't have a sports team on it so this is perfect for a fall day out but still wanting to look cute.  Very flattering.  I sized up to a small because I wanted a looser fit.

Wanted to try the Emerson Rose top in a different color (you might remember I tried the white one on in the Part One Online Dressing Room Diaries) to see if I'd like it better.  The color is ok...didn't love it.  It did pair nicely with the Sam Edelman flats.  Overall this top is nice but there are so many other items I like better that I have to edit this one out.

I've been on the hunt for some tees that are more than just a basic solid shirt.  I thought this J.Crew one was really cute.  It's that vintage style so its very comfortable.  I'd definitely recommend.

ACTIVE WEAR
I wanted to try the Zella Hatha High Waisted leggings because I've heard so many great things about them.  They definitely didn't disappoint.  They are a keeper...thicker than the Keep It Cool ones (see below) and they really hold everything in.  I'm a fan.  While I loved the leggings the Layer Me Tee was a miss.  I really, really wanted to like it but the overall fit wasn't very good.  I sized up to a small because I didn't want it to be too snug.  This one got returned but I did order it in an XS in black so we'll see.

I already own the Zella Keep it Cool leggings in a blue/green color so I was super excited to see them offered in black (and other colors).  I jumped at the chance to get them.  Highly recommend.  I love the bright blue color of the Zella Pace tank.  Overall the fit was ok...too big in the bust (wearing XS) but I loved the material...very lightweight and would definitely help to keep you cool during a workout.

PANTS
I love my current DL1961 jeans so I wanted to try a pair from the sale.  I really love these skinny jeans.  The fit is great...sucks everything in but very comfortable.  I'm not pulling the trigger for only one reason - too long.  It's an issue I deal with all the time which is why I love Kut from the Kloth because they are amazing jeans and they have petites.

I've been wanting to try Rag and Bone jeans for the longest time...and now is the perfect time when they are nicely reduced.  These high waisted jeans are amazing...fabric is great...fit is on point.  I thought I'd hate the high waist but these worked sooo well.  My only complaint you can probably guess...they are just too long.  And hemming them wouldn't work because too much fabric needs to be removed.  :(

I have such a hard time finding leggings because I'm so short and I can rarely find petites.  These Halogen leggings were perfect (come in regular and petite).  They are a thicker legging so I can really wear them with anything for most occasions.  I highly recommend...they are only $29.  My top and shoes are also from sale.

LOUNGE WEAR
This is a great time of year to buy a new slippers as there is always a new pair of Uggs available as part of the sale.  I really like these but they run REALLY small.  I'm normally a 6.5 shoe so I sized up to a 7 and they were WAY too small.  I've reordered them in an 8 and will let you know.  I really don't need a new pair as I already own these but they are just so comfy and cute.

I am such a sucker for PJs...and PJ Salvage never disappoints with a comfortable pair.  They are so soft.  Come in a variety of colors/patterns.  Definitely recommend.

OUTERWEAR
The hunt for the leather jacket continues.  I love this Bernardo one much better than the Trouve.  I think it's better quality...fabric is much thicker.  Very comfortable.  I have one more coming to try and then I'll have to make a decision.

SHOES & ACCESSORIES
I regretted not getting the short Hunters last anniversary sale.  Loving these navy ones with the lavender detail.  I normally wear a 6.5 shoe so decided to size up to a 7 in these...they are unfortunately too big and now they are sold out of the size 6.  :(

Love this Rebecca Minkoff purse.  The lavender color will be perfect for fall and will go with almost anything.  Definitely a keeper!!

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Online Purchases Part One

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale online purchases are finally come in and I wanted to have a one stop shop for you to access them all.  And don't forget to check out all of my in-store reviews here.

TOPS
Love this BP flannel shirt.  Really soft and comfortable.  Perfect casual shirt.  Goes great with leggings or jeans.  And pairs really nicely with one of my favorite anniversary purchases, Vince Corbins.

Love everything about this Bobeau top...the color...the ruffle sleeves and the fit.  Will be perfect for everyday or work.  Goes nicely with my favorite Kut from the Kloth jean purchase of the sale (review below) and my old Tory Burch flats (similar).

This picture doesn't do this Emerson Rose top justice...I was too lazy to steam it.  I love the twist it takes on a traditional white blouse with the 3/4 sleeves and bows.  Works great with my favorite Banana Republic pant but also would look great with jeans.

I LOVE, LOVE these Lush tops...they are perfect for any occasion and are under $30 with sale pricing.  Come in a variety of colors.  Decided to go out of my comfort zone with color picks and ordered green and a brown/purple.  Love them both and having a hard time figuring out which one to keep.  What do you think?

DRESSES
This CeCe dress is the only one I ordered from the sale because I was able to try on my other picks (Chelsea28, Halogen and Cupcakes & Cashmere) in store.  I love the Peter Pan collar and the scalloped detail at the bottom.  This dress can definitely be worn all year round and its just under $100!

DENIM
You know I love Kut from the Kloth...such great styles and quality, they offer petite sizing and prices are on point.  I originally liked these Donna jeans in the store...they didn't have my size so I had to ordered.  I thought what I didn't like about the fit was because they weren't my size but it wasn't the case.  These fit ok...they are little too bagging in the knee area for me so I'm passing on them.

I didn't think I'd like the "step hem" jean till I tried these Kut from the Kloth Connie style.  I'm obsessed with them...and they go with any shoe...flats, booties, flip flops, etc.  Highly, highly recommend.  And the best news is they are $60!!!

OUTERWEAR
Still on the hunt for a brown/tan leather jacket.  I loved everything about this Trouve one except the collar.  It was such a thin leather around the neck area that its causing it to lay weird.  Such a bummer.  It does pair nicely with my favorite Lush tees.

Styling My Favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Purchases

Now that most of my purchases have come in and I'm finalizing what I'm keeping I wanted to share with you how I'm going to style some of my favorites.

First up is the Chelsea28 dress.  I know I keep posting about it but I seriously LOVE it!! I've paired it with this fabulous J.Crew tassel necklace (currently on sale) to give it a pop of color and finished it off with my favorite Steve Madden Ava sandals.  When the weather calls for closed toed shoes I'll pair it with my favorite Corso Como nude patent pumps.

Originally when I got this Caslon cashmere vest, I was going to stick with the camel color but I forgot I have something very similar already in my closet from LOFT a few years ago.  I ordered the black and love it just as much.  Seriously its so soft.  To give it a little something more I added this J.Crew Oval Link necklace. My favorite Mavi jeans (currently on sale) and the Sam Edelman flats from the sale.

This look combines two pieces from the sale - Bobeau top and Kut from the Kloth step hem jeans.  Paired them with a J.Crew blazer (similar) that I've had for a while, one of my favorite Stella & Dot necklaces and Vince booties from last year's sale (similar pair from this year's sale).

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Edition

Apologies in advance for this looong post but I wanted to outline for you all of my dressing room reviews from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  More reviews to come as my online orders come in.  I've tried to organize by category and top picks so hopefully its a little easier to navigate.  Happy Shopping!!

SWEATERS

On the left is my favorite Halogen cashmere vest.  Love, love, love.  I also ordered it in black...going to be hard  Must buy for sure!  One of the left was a surprising favorite from Hinge.  It's not cashmere but feels like it is.  Love the bell sleeve and elbow detail.  Another must buy and it's under $60!

Two more favorite cashmere sweaters.  Left is Nordstrom Collection and seriously will be the softest thing you will ever wear.  Right is Vince and it's not as soft because there's wool in it but it's still amazing.  Highly recommend both.

This is a great Free People sweater.  Very flattering.  Comes in a variety of colors.  Great split black but not too revealing.  And it's under $50!

Two more cashmere offerings from Nordstrom collection. They are nice and I like both sweaters but they aren't top of my list for this year's purchases.  Left one comes in a variety of colors and right one is also offered in a burgundy.

Last of the sweaters is this great transition piece by Two by Vince.  Love the waffle knit and the chunky turtleneck.  Available in a variety of colors but I'm partial to this great pink.

OUTERWEAR
Both of these coats are keepers (I think).  I love the faux leather sleeve Laundry coat.  Gives a twist on a classic black coat...plus it's doesn't break the bank, it's just over $100.  I just adore this plaid Halogen coat...the three quarter sleeve are perfection.  It will dress up any fall outfit.  The rest of the outfit for me was eh - skirt and shirt worked nice together but just wasn't me.

Loved this shirt and jacket combo.  Jacket is so soft and the shirt paired so nicely.  Didn't pull the trigger because I just couldn't justify how often I would wear it and there are a lot of other items on my must buy list.  Having a little bit of regret...jacket also comes in gray.  I order it in my online order so we'll see what I ultimately decide.  Did any of you get it?

Both of these jackets were ok but not winners for me.  I really wanted the Caslon twill (on the left) to be a winner but it was way to lightweight for what I was looking for.  The Hinge brown leather (on the right) was just ok...I didn't love.  I'm still on the hunt for a brown/camel leather coat so I have a Trouve one and Andrew Marc one on order to see if I like one of them better.

Really like this Topshop blazer...the sleeve detail and ruffle trim are perfect.  It would have been a definite winner if it was available in a different color.  I like the blue but I already have one in my closet.  Definitely recommend if you on the hunt for a navy blazer.

TOPS
This Lush top is a no brainer.  It's the perfect tee for $15.  It's soft....very flattering...and comes in a variety of colors.  I highly recommend.  It's one of my top picks (so far) from this year's sale.

I liked this Madewell top but didn't love it.  It a cute take on a classic button down.  The fit was great but there were so many other great items from this year's sale that I wanted to take advantage of so I passed.
This was a surprising love...the Socialite tee wasn't even on my radar but my shopper suggested I try it and I fell in love.  It's so soft.  Great for an everyday long sleeve tee.  Love the waffle detail...it reminds me of a Free People shirt I have in a few colors.  And the price point is great at $24.

I loved everything about this Zella Don't Sweat It sweater except for the color.  I already have something similar in my closet and unfortunately this was the only color offered.  Definitely recommend if dark gray is something you are looking for.

DRESSES
This Chelsea28 dress is one of my top purchases so far this sale.  It's the perfect shift dress and the ruffle detail on the shoulders just gives it an extra special touch.  Highly recommend this dress!

Love this Cupcakes and Cashmere off the shoulder number.  Simple floral pattern...cinched waist and the best part is there's pockets.  I love a dress with pockets.  This fabric also comes in a shift style, sleeveless version.

I really like this button back Halogen dress but I have one similar already in my closet so I didn't pull the trigger.  The drop waist and button details on the back and really nice touches.  Dress also comes in another black floral pattern and solid black.

SHOES
These Sam Edelman bow flats are amazing!!!  Such a great twist on a ballet flat.  They are super comfortable and come in a variety of colors.  I'm on the fence about keeping this floral pattern or the black leather ones.  I'm waiting on the black ones to come in and then I'll make a decision.  What do you think?

I'm on the hunt for a new pair of Tory Burch flats as my 5+ year old pairs have seen better days.  I was hoping these Claire ballerina flats would work because the price is so good for them during sale time ($164).  For me they didn't work because the toe wasn't as rounded as I like in the Minnie's so I'm just going to wait and bite the bullet on some new Minnie's in the near future.

The hunt is over for a pair of black slip ons thanks to these Vince Corbins.  Absolutely love them.  They fit so well and are super comfortable.  They come in a variety of colors and fabrics.  The ones in the picture are black velvet but I got the leather.  Highly recommend these!

Well there you have it all my dressing room photos.  My reviews to come as my online orders come in.  I want to hear from you.  What did you get at this year's sale?
