At select Giant grocery stores you can now check out as you shop. It is the BEST thing and it is so easy. When you get into the store you just go to the self check area to get your "gun" which you do by swiping your Giant card (or entering your phone number you use for your Giant card), take the gun that has be specified for you, and scan each item you want to buy.
Once you have all the items you want (and scanned) then you go to the self check out counter and follow the directions, pay and you are done. It is so easy and convenient. It's just like when you register for wedding gifts. Now my hubby loves to grocery shop...as long as I give him control of the "gun."

I love this - I do it every time I got to Giant. It's also a great way to keep the kids entertained if you have to bring them...as long as they don't fight. Next time, I'm going to see if I can get 2. :)

Ha! My boyfriend is the exact same way. Now, even when we're only getting, like, 5 things at the store, he always says "Grab the scanner."

I did this at a Safeway and it was a total cluster-you-know-what. When the kinks aren't worked out, it stinks! That being written, anything to get Mikey to the grocery store is a great thing!
