Check with your bank and see if they have a rewards program for its debit cards....mine does!
My bank, Wachovia, has a free rewards program for it's debit cards called Wachovia Possibilities Rewards. It's a point system like Target, you get a certain number of points for each purchase and then those points add up and you are eligible to "cash them in" for retail gift cards, Visa gift cards, products, etc. Since signing up a couple years ago, I've gotten a few $50 gift cards to Banana Republic...for free...and I'm close to getting another one. And I signed Hubby's card up too...too bad I can't use his points as well for Banana gift cards.
I use my debit card ALL the time so this is the perfect, hassle free way to earn extra money for my shopping habit. :)

Hm, I need to check with BoA for this! They have a credit card rewards program that I am signed up for and I have a few hundred dollars worth of reward points. How do you decide when to cash in? I always feel worried that if I cash it in for something, I'll need it for something later, so I just let them keep accumulating!
What an awesome deal. I've been looking for a new bank ever since mine Wamu merged with Chase (Evil fees from hell and scant interest bank) Thanks for the heads up!
i love the wachovia rewards program. i'm almost to my gift certificate too! i need to have tim see how far he is to getting one too!
I have a BofA credit card w/points, but I have learned that you can get more money if you cash them out for money vs. gift cards and they mail you a check. For example...15,000 = $120 in cash or $100 in BR gift cards.
