Thrifty Thursday
When Hubby and I revised our budget months and months ago we both agreed that I was spending WAY TOO much money at Starbucks. I was seriously getting a Venti Latte almost everyday and that adds up. So we agreed that I would get a budget of $30 each month. At the beginning of each month I go to the Starbucks in my building at get a $30 gift card. When the $$ runs out on the gift card no more lattes till the next month. This has definitely helped us save cash and I make coffee at home a lot more.

If it helps, I've heard that you can buy giftcards (I think it might have been at costco) to starbucks at a discounted rates. I'm not a coffee drinker myself but all my friends at work used to buy themselves a giftcard at the beginning of the month and that was their "coffee budget"
That's a great idea!
Thanks for another great idea. I have one for you too.
I don't know if you have a COSTCO around you but they have their own brand called Kirklands. Amongst the variety of Kirklands coffees there is one that if you read the fine print at the bottom of the bag states:
"Roasted exclusively by Starbucks for Kirklands"
It's Starbucks Coffee! The EXACT same as you spend a fortune for if you buy it from them.
We use it at home all the time and I even carry it out using those thermal cups.
First - LOVE your blog!
Second - Not sure if this is at every Starbucks but at the near my work if you buy a Starbucks travel mug and order your coffee to be put in it you get a discount.
That is a really great idea, I think it def. helps you become more accountable for $4 - $5 almost every day!! I swear they put crack in it!!
Such a great idea! I heart Sbux with a passion and think I may have to copy you on this idea as $3 a day adds up REAL quick!
I agree- this is a really smart idea to budget your Starbucks fix.
Great idea to help Starbucks addicts out with the "budget crisis"...would like to be, but can't really say I'm an addict since the closest one is about an hour & 15 mins away...gotta love these Country Roads! Cute blog...found you through my daughters'...Emersyn Lane.
