Is it worth it?
A lot of the bloggers I follow rave about the Clarisonic. I've been wanting to try it because everyone raves about it. So why didn't I get it? I just couldn't see myself spending that much money. Well lately my skin has been a hot mess so I've been really thinking about getting it. And I just returned two Philosophy products that reacted poorly with my skin so I have about $100 in credit. So my question is...Is it worth it and can I just get the brush or do I need the whole set?

If you get it, please do post what you think! I've been wanting to try this brush for years and hesitate every time I think about purchasing one, lol. I hear great things about it though and am thinking about asking for one for christmas!
I've had mine for about 2 months - I bought the $195 brush from Sephora that comes with three mini sized cleansers. I used them up and now use other cleansers with it - Neutrogena etc. You just replace the brush head every 3 months or so. I absolutely love it and am so glad I bought it - my skin is much smoother & softer & feels great. Would not go back to using just a washcloth!
I bought a Clarisonic in July 2008 and the improvement in my skin was astounding. If I don't wash my face w/it, I can tell and feel dirty all day now.
There was a bit of a transitional period w/it, so please stick w/it. My skin was oilier at first b/c my pores were unclogged for the first time in a decade. My skin balanced itself back out in a few weeks, but it wasn't anything extra blogging couldn't take care of.
I purchased the his & hers set from Nordstrom's but you could get just the brush and do fine. I didn't care for the cleansers that came w/it. I think QVC has a really good bundle w/Philosophy items that may be a good deal?
Either way, I highly recommend it. Definitely register yours online and they'll send you a free replacement brush head!
I mean "blotting" not "blogging." Guess where my brain is today? :)
I tried the new mini Clarisonic that Sephora is carrying- the Clarisonic "Mia." At 27, I still have acne-prone skin and am on Tazorac (a step above Retin-A). I couldn't wait to use the Clarisonic. I was sure it would become my Holy Grail. Well. Holy acne storm. My skin freaked out and I had huge zits all over my face. 2-3 new ones every day. After a month of use, I had to call it quits and admit defeat. Now I'm left with horrible acne scars. The zits stopped within a week of discontinuing the Clarisonic and I'm left trying to phase out these awful scars. I think results are different for everyone (obviously) and it seems like many have had luck with it. I just wish I was one of them. (FYI- I used twice a day with Cetaphil face wash. Skin was definitely smoother- in the spots that weren't full of zits) :(
I've heard mixed reviews and have held off on making the purchase. Let us know!
I just ordered mine 2 weeks ago and so far love it. I got mine on Ebay for $140 and it was brand new.
I've heard great things about it, including from my friend who is an aesthetician and not selling it. She tries everything and really loves it.
A friend of mine with majorly problem skin has it and absolutely loves it - she swears by it. I am tempted, but don't really want to spend the $ on it. Maybe next time Sephora does a % off...
I invested in one in January after a visit to my dermatologist (I'm 43). This is one of the most amazing products--I can't say enough positive things about it. Not only is my skin clear and smooth, but I know that all the makeup is coming off every night.
Add me to your list of people who rave about this. I just bought the brush and use my own scrub with it. You will not regret this investment!
I also debated the cost but have now used it for 3 months and think it has def. improved my skin and feel it was worth the price.
if you get it - i cant wait to see your review. i've never heard about this, but my skin has been turning into a hot mess lately too (at 27...it's like COME ON) when i've always had clear skin so i'm always up for new products that work!!
great post! I def want to get one of these too! Sounds like the majority of people love it! Are you supposed to use it everyday?
