One Cardigan...Three Ways

I LOVE this Old Navy cardigan.  Super soft.  Affordable Price. Flattering on Any Body Type.  I wanted to show you three different ways you can wear it...dressed up and down.  Sorry for the squinting in the pictures.  It was a SUPER sunny day and was hard to find a spot where I wasn't.

Five Friday Favorites - Pajamas for Cooler Temps

As the weather gets cooler and I transition my wardrobe, I also transition my pajamas.  We keep our house pretty cool in the winter because I like to bundle up...and really snuggle up in my blankets at bedtime.  Here are my go-to, favorite pajamas. 

#1 - J.Crew Dreamy Pajamas

I've had these J.Crew pajamas for a while and I love them...I love them so much I also bought them in grey.  Very soft cotton...super comfortable to sleep in.  Rarely go on sale but they are worth the price...and they hold up. 

#2 - Make and Model Set

I wish that you could feel how soft these pajamas are.  Make + Model has the COZIEST pajamas. You might remember I got a shorts/long sleeve shirt set from the Anniversary sale.  Last year I got a set identical to this for the holidays.  I lived in them all fall/winter. They have new holiday patterns available but since I'm pretty set on those I decided to go for a neutral with the shooting stars pattern. They are seriously SO soft. I size up because I like a looser fit. 

#3 - PJ Salvage Pajamas

PJ Salvage is another brand of pajamas I really like.  I have a couple of pairs from over the past few years.  These wine ones are one of my favorites.  Again, really soft cotton.  And perfect to snuggle up in.  This particular pattern isn't available anymore but Nordstrom has a cute floral pair on sale and Nordstrom Rack has a ton of PJ Salvage options...including a different wine option.  :)

#4 - Amazing Amazon Pajama Find

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm obsessed with pajamas.  It can be a pricey obsession so I was thrilled when I found a fun (and affordable) but importantly comfortable pair.  I love these from Mae and they come in a bunch of great patterns including some for the holidays!  I sized up for a looser fit. 


#5 - Coverting Summer Pajamas

I also have some summer pajamas that have pants that I will still wear in the cooler months like these from Amazon.  When I'm not snuggled in bed, I either put on my Barefoot Dreams cardigan or my super cozy Barefoot Dreams robe so I can stay warm. 

My New Favorite Brand - Daily Ritual

I started buying clothes off Amazon this summer and have become completely obsessed with the Daily Ritual brand.  They have the best and softest basics at really affordable prices.  Many of the pieces are available via Prime Wardrobe which is nice so I was able to try multiple sizes  Here are some of my recent favorites -

Love this cotton turtleneck pullover.  It's such a soft cotton and works so well with jeans or leggings.  I packed it with me for my girls weekend and it was warm too.  Comes in a couple other colors as well.  True to size.

I know it's not tank weather but this tank is fabulous.  Comes in a two-pack for $20.  Fit is true to size.  Lots of color combos available.  I will wear this year round as this tank is a great layering piece too. 

shirt / leggings / shoes

This is one of my favorite pieces...such a cozy top!  It's an extremely soft, thick cotton.  I sized up for a looser fit.  Comes in black and gray too.  Highly recommend!

shirt / skirt 

You have seen this look a few times over the past week.  This turtleneck was a great look for less find and I like this version better than the splurge.  Fit is true to size...the small was too big.  This is a great look for a special event....I've worn it for Thanksgiving and fancier work outings. 

shirt / sweater / jeans 

This is simple basic tee but it's FABULOUS.  Again, soft cotton...really great fit and the perfect deep v-neck...not too low and not too high.  This also comes in a two-pack with different color combinations for $20.  Doesn't come in my usual size but the small works really well for me so consider sizing down. 

sweatshirt / leggings

This sweatshirt has the BEST feel...it's like a real worn in sweatshirt that you've had for years.  Has a great slit down the side for extra room.  Comes in a couple of colors.  True to size.

The Always Cardigan is my favorite piece...and I will always wear it now that the weather is cool.  The gray is SOOOO soft.  It's like cuddling in a blanket.  I love the way it lays in the front.  You can also button it.  It pairs so nicely with the large geometric scarf.  The cardigan also comes in green and a dark gray.  Material isn't as soft which is why I think it costs a little less.  Has all the same features.  You can dress it up or down.  Pairs nicely with a long necklace like the Rebel or do some delicate layering pieces like my favorite Covet initial necklace (which never go on sale so great way to get it discounted).  Fit is true to size.  The sleeves fit like a long sleeve tee.

It just so happens that my two favorite pieces from Stella and Dot's clothing line happen to have "always" in the name. This Always Tank is amazing.  So flattering and has the perfect amount of detail around the neckline.  Perfect on it's own or paired with a jacket, blazer or cardigan.  Highly recommend.  The jewelry options are endless...I personally like a mid-size necklace like what I'm wearing or this new customizable rose gold one.  With the neckline detail, you could go very delicate on the necklace and pair a bigger earring like these Thea ones.

I love this white tee.  It takes the basic tee up a notch with the tassel detail.  Fit is great and great quality cotton.  It's a fabulous black canvas that you can dress up with jewels like this customizable necklace or this popular eternity necklace.  And since it's short sleeve you can do a fun arm party like this Yves or a cuff.

Love this side zip pullover...incredible soft on the inside.  The zips on the side allow you adjust how fitted you want it to be.  Great for expecting moms!  Comes in other clothes too...see below.  Fit is true to size.  Dress it up or down.

Here's another option for the side zip pullover.  Super soft on the inside and it's a fun camo print.  Great for daycare drop off, car pool line, the bus stop or just running errands.  Highly recommend.  And you can pair it with a simple pair of studs like these to dress it up.

I wish you could feel how soft this Addy poncho is through the computer.  It's amazing!  I also have it in black.  You can dress it up or down.  I love pairing it with jeans but it also works so well with leggings.  Lots of great jewelry pieces to pair with it too like a basic necklace like Rebel pendant (so versatile....goes with everything) or Anda Intention necklace.  With the three quarter length sleeves you can do fun stacking bracelets like the Intention ones paired with Nicholette.

The beauty of this Ren top is you can wear it with any jewelry.  You could do a fun statement necklace like Sutton (prefer the mix metal) or Montague...a long one like Natia or Rayna...you could also do something fun with feathers like this Verona pendant.  If you do an off the shoulder look, then try a bolder earring like Pegasus or Constantine...or go the fun feather route with Verona earrings.

Love the bell sleeve detail on this Lolo top.  It's a soft cotton so you can dress it up or down.  It's the perfect top to pair with a statement necklace. Five Friday Favorites - Fall Shoes

You guys really liked last week's Five Friday Favorites focused on outerwear pieces for fall/winter so I thought I'd keep it going with shoes this week. 

#1 - Booties

Who doesn't love a good pair of booties.?!?!  I know I do, in fact I'm slightly obsessed and have five pairs in my closet.  In my defense, I've collected them over the past few years and wear them ALL THE TIME in the fall and winter.  I have two basic black pairs (one heel, one flat) and three beige/nude ones (one flat pair I bought this year and two with heels).  There are so many great booties out there but I'm partial to Vince Camuto...they are so comfortable and really great quality.  Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack have great options available! 


#2 - Rainboots

I've really needed rain boots this season...it has rained SO much.  These are a staple on rainy days, esspecially on the weekends when I'm out running errands or at mini's games.  They are comfortable and cute.  I've had the black glossy pair for 5+ years and they are still in excellent condition.  I recently had a great find of these blue shorter ones at Nordstrom Rack.  Hunters are definitely worth the splurge because they will last AND you can use them all year round...just put some of the sock liners in when the weather gets cold and you've got snow boots! 

#3 - Fashionable Sneakers

I never had "fashionable" sneakers in my closet till having kids and was running around all the time.  Now I've got a few go-to pairs that I basically live in on the weekends during the fall/spring months.  If you are looking for a pair that will go with basically any weekend casual outfit then I would recommend either of the two I have above...so comfortable and a great neutral to pair with anything!  I also love these black Vince ones that are on sale and these Target pink ones.    

#4 - High Boots

I LOVE me a high boot.  You will start to see me in these ALL the time in the later fall, early winter months.  They are cute, comfortable and really make an outfit.  In my closet, I've got a basic flat black pair, a dressier black heel pair I wear to work, a flat brown pair (on the right) that I wear the most and I just added the pair of the left from Target...a cute suede slouchy style.  With these boots I recommend investing in a pair of Frye or Sam Edelman's for your everyday ones and then the more trendy ones get at like a Target because you never know how long they will be in style.  

#5 - Flats

Flats can be a girls best friend or incredible uncomfortable.  I have a few go-to flats that have gotten me through 18+ hours on my feet...my favorite hands down, most comfortable flats are from Tory Burch.  They are definitely a splurge but last forever and are very comfortable.  I have three pairs (black, black patent, brown) and have had all three for 5+ years! If you are looking for a great neutral flat...check out these from Caslon...bunch of colors available but I have the nude for a nice go with any color.  I also love a fun flat too...and these leopard ones from J.Crew Factory are fun but not nearly as comfortable.  They are good for a basic work day. 

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Amazon Fashion Haul

Amazon keeps stepping up their game with the fashion finds.  It's starting to get dangerous....here are my recent reviews on my latest Amazon Prime Wardrobe.

I love a good cold shoulder top in the fall/winter and this Lark and Ro one is SO cute.  It's super soft cashmere. You can definitely wear it for work or play.  Dress it up with a statement earring.  Fit is true to size.  Also comes in white and navy. 

sweater / jeans / shoes

I know I've mentioned on Christina's Favorite Things FB page that some J.Crew Factory items are now available on Amazon like these super cute basic crew neck sweaters.  I love pairing a button down top under them but they also work on their own or with a basic tee under it.  Available in a bunch of colors and can we worn for almost any occasion.  True to size.

This was a great look for less find on Amazon.  I got an almost identical turtleneck from Nordstrom last year.  It's still available here but honestly I like this Daily Ritual one better.  It's a soft cotton, fitted look (which is what I want) and the material isn't sheer so I don't have to layer with anything else.  True to size.  Also comes in black and navy.  

sweatshirt / leggings

Another Daily Ritual item for the win.  Seriously I'm obsessed with everything I've tried of theirs!  This sweatshirt is sooo soft.  It reminds me of a really worn in old school college sweatshirt.  It has such a cozy feel.  It's nice and long and has a great slit so you can move with it.  Comes in gray and also a black/white stripe.  True to size.  

dress

Ok Daily Ritual, love again!  This dress is sooo soft.  Honestly it felt like I was wearing a night gown.  Love the cowl neck detail.  True to size.  Also comes in a fab green color.  My only complaint is I wish it was offered in petite because it's a little long on my 5'1" frame.
