Five Friday Favorites - Nordstrom Sale Items

#1 - Caslon Top

This Caslon top is going to be on repeat this fall! I can wear it for all different occasions like pair it with black pants and a nice top for work or make it more casual with jeans and wedge sneakers like shown above.  Comes in a bunch of colors.  I might have to get another one.

There are SO many amazing items on sale from the Gibson x HiSugarplum Resort collection that I could do a whole blog post on it but this skirt is one of my FAVS.  It's versatile in that you can wear it a bunch of different ways - dressed up for work or change up the top for a fun night out.  Lots of different colors available.  True to size (comes in petites).

I told you it was hard to pick only a couple of items from the Gibson x HiSugarplum line so I've combined two in one here - tank and shorts.  Both are SUPER comfortable and fabulous for summer.  Fit on both is true to size and come in several colors.

#4 - Gibson Joggers

These were go-to comfy, cozy jogger pants over the spring and will be again this fall.  They are SO soft...its like wearing pajamas.  And the best is they come in petite so the length works SO much better for me.  Also come in black.


#5 - Vince Camuto Peep Toe

These shoes are extremely comfortable and very cute.  The perfect transition shoe.  I wore them finally for the first time this week and found them easy to wear and no problem being on my feet.  Other colors available.  Fit is true to size.

LOVE these sunnies.  They are the perfect tortoise blend with a hint of blush tones.  Very comfortable and definitely block the sun well! 

This is a FABULOUS fall clutch!  Give your blue outfits a little pop of color with this one.  Built in wallet inside and fits everything you need - phone, lip gloss, credit card, etc.

This is a very versatile ruffle top...you can wear it almost year round.  Goes great with shorts and flops or pair it with jeans and boots.  It's such a comfortable top.  Oh and the statement necklace I'm wearing is on sale too! Another fabulous fall piece are these earrings.  I love the blue and orange tones with the hint of green.  These were on repeat last year and will be again.  Post style and not too heavy.  

If you aren't a fan of dangle earrings but still want a statement, these earrings are perfect for you!  Super lightweight with a post.  Sure to dress up any outfit.  I love wearing these with my fall/winter all black outfits!

This fabulous red/pink bag has been my go-to pool bag all summer.  It's the perfect size and the material can handle the cement pool deck and water that ultimately ends up on it.  Works really for any occasion not just the pool.  It's adjustable so you can make it fit the amount of stuff you have.  And I love a good monogram...this bag has a feature where you can have your monogram or something else personalized on the bag! 

This picture is has TWO sale items in one.  First is the Rayna necklace.  You get two amazing necklaces in one - long silver one with a pendant on the end and the other is black beaded.  Great together or wear individually.  The second item on sale is this fabulous off the shoulder top.  The gray is a super soft cozy material.  LOVE!  You can wear it off the shoulder or on both...whatever you are comfortable in.  Also comes in black, blue and red versions.  

I know summer is almost over but this cover up is on sale and it's worth snagging now to have for next summer or your next warm weather vacation.  There is an eye hook so you can close it.  Will go with so many suits.  Highly recommend.  

I LOVE this scarf.  I wore it ALL the time in fall/winter last year.  It's super comfortable, keeps you warm but is also a great fashion piece.  Love the grays and blues throughout.  Snag it now for the cooler temps!

I LOVE this beaded clutch.  It was the perfect accessory this summer.  Fits everything I need and goes with so many things. 

I LOVE the colors in this statement necklace - the pinks, greens and creams really make an outfit pop.  But the best part of the necklace is that it's REVERSIBLE and you can wear it on just the gold side for any outfit.

I absolutely love the colors in this top. It's perfect for work or play. Fit is a more oversized feel so if you'd rather it be form fitting then size down. The top is a bit sheer so you will want to wear a cami underneath.

I'm always on the hunt for a good pair of jeans...especially ones that fit me in the length.  I'm LOVING these from the Universal Thread brand.  They are a lighter wash which I don't have in my closet and I love the frayed bottom.  These come in short, regular or long lengths.  The short length fits me great.  Definitely recommend these!

I love a good eyelet top and I'm seeing a lot of variations coming out for fall in some really pretty rich colors.  LOVE this one from Target's Universal Thread brand.  It's a super cute style.  Wasn't sure I'd like the gathered neck but it doesn't both me at all.  You can dress it up or down.  Perfect fall transition top.  Fit is true to size.

This dress goes out of my comfort zone but I'm really glad I tried it because it's SO cute.  Love the turtleneck style.  It's another fabulous transition piece as you can layer it with a sweater, blazer or jacket when the weather cools.  It's supposed to be midi length but of course longer on me.  Fit is true to size however, it's a bit snug...and a little too snug for my liking for work.  Other colors available.

During the fall/winter months I wear a lot of black pants to work so I like to have a good selection of tops to change in and out.  I don't like to spend a lot of money on these because I usually cycle them out every season.  Target is a great place to find some including this one from the Who What Wear brand.  I love the floral print but especially love all the details - gathered sleeve and tie neck.  Fit is true to size.  There's also an animal print option available.

Animal print is all the rage this season and here's another super cute option from Target.  I personally could only wear this dress with a tan because the color would wash me out.  It's super flattering and definitely could transition with cooler temps, just add boots/tights.

This is the perfect sweater for fall...it's cozy and the green color is fabulous.  I love the honeycomb texture.  And as someone who's short, it's nice to find a cozy cardigan that doesn't lay very long.  Several colors to pick from and it fits true to size.  

jumpsuit / necklace / shoes

Admittedly I should have steamed this jumpsuit before wearing it but it was so cute, I couldn't wait to put it on.  It's a fabulous lightweight material...perfect as we transition to fall.  Very flattering and perfect length on me (remember I'm 5'1").  You can dress it up or down.  Fit is true to size.  

You all know I LOVE pajamas.  Recently I've become obsessed with the Nordstrom brand pjs because they are just incredibly soft...butter soft.  These Target ones are a fabulous LOOK FOR LESS.  Extremely soft and comfortable just like the Nordstrom ones but a fraction of the price.  

Dressing Room Diaries - LOFT Fall Transition Pieces

One of the fashion finds I'm focused on right now are cute looks to transition looks to get me from summer to fall because around here you never know what the weather will be like in September and October...can be really warm or really cold. Here are some perfect pieces from LOFT that fit the bill.

dress / shoes

This is the perfect fall transition dress...it's got all the right colors and great for layering. Cinch waist gives you a flattering shape and it has POCKETS! Fit is true to size. Definitely recommend.

I love a good mule and these are SO cute for fall. Perfect nude/taupe color with super cute bow detail. You can dress them up or down. They run about a half size big so consider sizing up. Also come in black.

Traditionally I haven't been much of a skirt wearer till recently.  This is a really cute (and comfortable) slip on one with an elastic waist.  Perfect now with bare legs and sandals and then pair it with tights and flats/pumps in the winter.  Fit is true to size.

This top is a mix media top or as I like to call it - business in the front and party in the back.  It's a dressy material for the front part and a softer cotton in the back.  Very comfortable for work.  Perfect on its own or with a sweater or blazer.  Fit is true to size.

Love the floral print and the ruffle sleeve detail on this top. This is perfect to wear on it's on or layered with a cardigan or jacket. Works great with jeans or black pants. Highly recommend.

Here's the PERFECT bangle set.  Comes with two "gold" bangles are four colorful resin ones.  The colors are perfect for almost any outfit.  I've gotten SO much use out of them already.  Highly recommend.

Five Friday Favorites - Recent Favorite Amazon Non-Fashion Purchases

#1 - Enso Rings

hubs / me

In the summer months, Hubs and I are so much more active.  Whether it's at the beach, pool or just hanging outside.  This summer I decided for Father's Day I would get us more durable wedding bands that we could swim, work out and basically "play" in without the worry of losing.  I went with the Enso brand because a friend who teaches fitness classes for a living loved hers.  They are very affordable, lots of great options to choose from and extremely durable.  I wear mine all the time and have "beat" it up and it still looks new.  Highly recommend!

#2 - Egg Cooker

We LOVE hard boiled eggs in our house but we can never seem to get the cooking right on our own so I decided to try this highly rated egg cooker.  Well it's AMAZING and I can't believe we didn't buy it sooner.  It's so easy to use and the eggs are cooked perfectly EVERY TIME!

#3 - Laptop Case

Being a blogger and also back in the working world, my laptop comes with me EVERYWHERE so I need a great case to protect it.  I didn't need something fancy but one that would protect my computer but not be too bulky as I usually carry it in my purse.  This $10.99 one works perfectly.  I went with gray since it's neutral but there are lots of colors to pick from.

#4 - Keurig Coffee Pot

I bought this coffee pot during Amazon Prime Days and I'm so glad I did because just last week, my Keurig for about five years stopped working well.  So far I love this one because you can use it for so much more than regular hot coffee.  Who has this one?  What's your favorite thing to make?

#5 - Electronic Cord Organizer

I know I'm not alone when I say I have SO many electronic cords and gizmos so I got this one to keep the cords I keep at my home office organized.  There are so many compartments and cord keepers that everything fits and its rolls up nicely too.  I got one for Hubs as well!

For a while I wasn't loving what J.Crew was coming out with but this last try on haul was success all around.  Loving their new fall pieces...check out my favorites.

Went out of my comfort zone with this skirt and I'm SO glad I did because I LOVE it.  It's a heavier sweater material so it will make for the perfect fall transition skirt (and again in spring time).  Fit is true to size.  It's supposed to be midi length but you know on my petite frame it's longer, and I think still works.

I LOVE this dress!  It's a super cute leopard print with pops of light pink.  Perfect for work or if I have a school event for my daughters.  Technically I think it's navy but it's so dark that you can definitely get away with black shoes.  I'm in a petite for length.  Fit is pretty true to size.  They didn't have a petite 4 so I got a petite 2 and it fits great...a little snug but would work...hoping a 4 comes back in stock.  Love, love this!

I love a good eyelet top and normally I only wear it in the spring but it's definitely becoming a trend this fall season.  This one is so cute.  I love the ruffle detail on the neckline and the cinched sleeves.  I went out of my comfort zone with the mustard color and it works (since I have a tan).  There are other colors available.  Fit is true to size.

This is a fabulous twist on a basic white tee.  Love the blush and orange detail on the neckline and sleeves.  Comfortable and cute.  Fit is true to size.  Not loving this color combo, don't worry there are other options available.

This lightweight linen blazer from J.Crew is the PERFECT summer work look.  Love the light blue color (also comes in other colors) because I wear a lot of navy and white in the summer and this compliments it perfectly.  Looks great over a dress or with a pair of pants.  Highly recommend and it's on sale right now.  Fit is true to size.

Since I wear a lot of black, I'm always looking for blazers that will give my outfit a little something more.  This black and white tweed blazer is perfect.  Will go with almost any of my all black ensembles (would work with color too).  Very comfortable and gives me a great shape.  I like the cut of this one and I think I'm going to try it in black as well.  Fit is true to size.
