Dressing Room Diaries: J.Crew Try On

Check out my latest J.Crew try on...just in time for their sale. 30% off your purchase with code SPRING.

This is a super cute lined dress that could work for work or play. It's comfortable and flowy but still has structure and shape. And I love the cute ruffle detail at the bottom. Comes in a couple of colors but I really love this yellow color. . The only down side is that its a linen material which isn't very forgiving with wrinkles.

Who doesn't love a simple cotton dress for summer time?!?! This one is the perfect one to fit that bill. It's a simple dress with details that set it apart from others - tiered style with tie neck (can create a key hole style) and ruffle sleeves. Because of these details you could definitely dress it up or down. It made with a super soft cotton material. Comes in a few colors. I'm in an XS and very comfortable in it.

I love a good pull on skirt in the summer time and I was so excited for this J.Crew x Liberty collab one. I absolutely LOVE the print. Overall the skirt is super cute (I sized up to a small) but I didn't end up keeping it because it was just too pouffy on my frame. There was just a little too much fabric for my short stature.

Gauze material tops are perfect season transition pieces. This one is super cute. I went with white but I really wish I had tried one of the other colors. Cute pleating detail at the top and gathered sleeve at the wrist. You can definitely dress this shirt up for work or keep it casual on the weekends.

bikini top / bikini bottom

This french top style bikini is one of my favorite styles. It just fits my body type well. I feel secure in it and the "girls" aren't going to fall out but still has a cute style to it. I'm in a small in both the top and bottom. The bottoms have great bum coverage...not cheeky at all.

I wanted to refresh my jeans with a lighter pair for spring. I wanted something that was casual with more of a relaxed fit but not too baggy. Tried three different pairs and here are the results.

This first pair was ok. They were a little baggier than I would have liked but I think would have tightened up after I threw them in the dryer. Overall fit was good but I wasn't a fan of the was so I decided to pass on these.

These were definitely a no go for me. Way to baggy and the length (even thought I am in petite) was too long. I needed to be taller I think for these to work for me. They look much cuter on the model.

This last pair was the only pair not out of my comfort zone and shocker they were the ones that I picked. I love the toothpick style because they really nicely on me. I sized up to a 27 so it wouldn't be as snug of a fit. Love the marine wash (something I don't have) because it will be perfect for spring. And every time I wear these, Hubs comments on how nice my tush looks. Highly recommend.

Note: This sale was going on as of me posting on April 3 so pricing and deals may have changed.
