Thrifty Thursday - Diapers.com Coupons

Did you know that Diapers.com takes your manufacturer coupons??!?!?!  My cubemate at work told me about it the other day and I had to research and share with all of you.  I haven't done it yet, we are pretty stocked up on stuff till the baby comes but I will be sure to do it when we need our next order.  And the double bonus is you can use Ebates for cash back.  Not familiar with Ebates, check out a post I did here.

Here's how coupons on Diapers.com works:

  • You send your coupons and/or formula checks to the address below.  You must include either a packing slip from a recent order or include a piece of paper that has your 1) NAME, 2) EMAIL ADDRESS and 3) BILLING STREET ADDRESS.  Include one of these options with your coupons to expedite handling.
Diapers.com
P.O. Box 483
Jersey City, NJ 07303

  • You must get your coupons in the mail and allow time for processing before you place your order. Upon receiving your coupons and/or formula checks, Diapers.com will apply them to your account for use on the specific product(s) listed on the coupon before the expiration date on the coupon. It may take up to 7-10 business days to process the coupons before they appear in your account.
  • You can view your coupons by logging in and going to "My Account" and then clicking on "My Manufacturer Coupons." On the shopping cart screen, your coupons will automatically be applied to eligible purchases. *You no longer need to enter an electronic code to apply them.
Here are some check points to make sure you get credit for the coupon -
  • Have an expiration date that is at least 1 week from the day they RECEIVE them.
  • Be general manufacturer's coupons and not have a specific store name on them (i.e.Target, etc.)
  • Be for the exact product that Diapers.com sells, including the sizes available on the site.
  • For diapers they should read "jumbo pack or larger" or "any size package of diapers." For wipes, they should read "any size package of wipes."
  • There is a limit of one coupon per specific product purchase.

Thrifty Thursday - My Favorite "Coupon" Sites

Groupon started it all. From what I can remember, they were the first big "coupon" site to come out and start this big trend.

PROS: Have some amazing national deals to places like Red Envelope, Old Navy, etc.
CONS: Haven't had many deals lately that appeal to me. The reward system isn't very good...you only get $10 after someone signs up using your link and purchases a Groupon. I feel like everyone is signed up for Groupon now so it limits you.

The next company to jump on the "coupon" train. And I believe one of the first companies to start advertising on TV. They are very clever commercials.

PROS: Lately they've had lots of deals that really appeal to me and I love their reward system...three of your friends buy the deal you bought and you get it for free. This has happened to me a few times!
CONS: Don't know of any. Do you have any?

PROS: Recently redid their site...love their new look.
CONS: Not many deals that appeal to me but since they redid the site they've had some great deals. Similar reward system as Groupon but you only get $5 for each person.

PROS: Twice they featured deals from my favorite sushi place.
CONS: Other than the sushi place there haven't been any other deals that appeal to me. Similar reward system as Groupon and you can only invite through email.

This site gives great deals for deals from Etsy sellers. Works like the other "coupon" sites but with Etsy sellers. Click here to access.

PROS: Love exploring new Etsy sellers.
CONS: Very addicting and lots of amazing things I want to buy!

So those are the sites that I check out regularly. What sites do you check out for great "coupon" deals?

Amazing Deal!!!!

Thank you to Fantabulously Frugal for sharing this amazing deal. Restaurant.com is a site that offers gift certificates to various restaurants in your area at a discounted rate. For example you can get a $25 gift certificate for $10. Great deal right! Well this deal just got better. With coupon code TASTE you can get these $25 certificates for $2. AMAZING!!! I just ordered three - Baci (an Italian restaurant in Rockville I've wanted to try), and two other restaurants in Bethesda.

It's super easy to order. Just sign up, fill out the usual forms (name, address, credit card, etc.). There is no tax or shipping. After your payment goes through, then you will need to print each of the certificates. The only caution of this deal is beware of the fine print such as not good on alcohol, must have a minimum purchase of $35, etc.
