Five Friday Favorites #16

This week's Five Friday Favorites goes along with the giveaway I'm doing on Facebook...all about Target's Universal Thread line!

#1 - Simple Cotton Dress
There's nothing I love more in the warmer weather months than a simple, cotton dress and this one is PERFECT.  Love the green color.  Great length.  Not too clingy.  Highly recommend.

#2 - Blush Perforated Sneakers
I am obsessed with these sneakers.  Love, love these for my weekend wear.  Will go with so many things.  Doesn't come in half sizes so I'd recommend you size down.  I normally wear a 6.5 and the 7 was too big.

#3- Love a Plaid Shirt
I love a good plaid shirt.  I've got several in my closet and added this one too it.  Comes in a bunch of different color options but this one was my favorite.  Highly recommend.  True to size.

#4 - Embroidered Slides
These slides look way more expensive than the $24.99 price tag.  I love the embroidered detail.  These will go with so many outfits this spring and summer.  Perfect for work or play.

#5 - Transition Tunic
Love this lightweight sweater.  It will be the perfect transition top for spring.  Also comes in black but I'm partial to this cream color.  True to size.

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Target's Universal Thread

I'm a sucker for a plaid shirt and Target's new Universal Thread line had four amazing options.  I'd recommend sizing up.  The XS fit but I feel like once I wash and dry it will shrink and but too small.  They have four cute plaids - navy/gray; yellow/gray; blue; and my favorite and the one I took home - red.

I had my eye on this black gingham print top when they released the sneak peek looks.  I love the sleeves and the black gingham print.  Unfortunately it's a little short for me.  I feel like I'd constantly be self conscious every time I moved my arms.  I do think I'm long waisted so not everyone might have the same issue.  It's also a very lightweight material and not lined.

The camo green color is going to be huge this season...I'm starting to see it pop up everywhere including this T-shirt dress. It's so comfortable and very flattering.  Wear it when the weather warms up slightly with a denim jacket and booties and then trade those in for flip flops when the weather gets hot.  I can't wait to pair the dress with these earrings

Two items from Universal Thread in this review.  Absolulely LOVE the shorts.  The fit and style are on point and you can't beat the $16.99 price tag.  They are VERY similar to my much more expensive Paige jean shorts.  This top is also super cute.  Cap sleeve with blue embroidery detail.  Nice and light weight for the cooler months.  Everything true to size.  Definitely recommend both.

This is another top I was super excited for when I saw the preview but didn't LOVE it when I tried it on.  It's pretty boxy and again the length (like the gingham one) is just too short.  It's a very lightweight material.  I do love the color and the pattern.  Didn't go home with it.  True to size.

You can't beat an $8 tee.  This v-neck one is soft and the perfect top to layer or on it's own.  I also picked it up in a light purple...and ordered in olive.  I live in these types of tops.  True to size.  Wearing an XS.

My eye was quickly drawn to this tie tank.  It has a beautiful black stripe with beautiful embroider detail.  Unfortunately it was a little too big and overwhelming on my frame.  If you are a little taller than my 5'1" height I would definitely recommend.

This Universal Thread top reminds me of my favorite Vince Camuto tank.  If I didn't already own it in red I would definitely have snagged it up.  It also comes in black but we know I definitely don't need another black top.  True to size.  Super cute.  Definitely recommend.

I love a good romper and this one is awesome.  It's a gauze like fabric...very flattering and I love the embroidery detail.  There's a tie but I wasn't a huge fan of it so I hid it.  Don't think I'd wear it with it.  The waist cinches enough with the elastic that I don't think you need the tie.  Can't wait to pair it with a wedge or heel this spring.

I really, really wanted to like this dress.  I love the style and pattern but the bust area was WAY TOO small.  It's weird because I don't have a large chest either.  I think sizing up would not work because the rest of the dress would be too big.  Such a bummer.  Anyone else have luck with it?

Last of the reviews...love this dress.  It's soft and comfortable.  Fits so great.  I'll be able to dress it up or down.  Also comes in a solid option. True to size.  Highly recommend.

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Universal Thread Shoes

Recapping all the shoes I purchased online from Target's new Universal Thread line.  Check it out -

Yes, yes, yes is all I can say about these slides.  I LOVE them.  They will definitely be a staple this spring.  I love the perforated detail.  Also come in black.  True to size.

I'm always looking for new flip flops because I live in them as soon as the weather gets warm.  I was super excited to see these nude ones because they are dressier than my Rainbows.  Unfortunately they weren't very comfortable and definitely felt like they would fall apart easily.  They only come in full sizes so go up a half size if you are normally a half size.  Also come in white and black.

Love these embroidered slides.  At first I thought they were too wide for my feet but the more I wore them the more I got used to the feeling.  These will definitely be a staple this spring and summer.

These are cute strappy sandals but the heel wasn't high enough and the ankle strap was too lose.  The color and style are great but didn't work for me.  They also come in black.  True to size.

Absolutely LOVE these cut out sandals.  They are super comfortable and the cutout detail is on point.  Will go with sooo many looks.  True to size. Also comes in black.  Highly recommend.

Love these cork soled mules.  Perfect for lots of different looks.  They aren't too heavy. Also come in black.  They don't come in half sizes so it's hard to get the right sizing for me...the 7 was a little too big but the 6 was too small.  Might have to pass on these.

Five Friday Favorites #15

#1 - LOFT Bell Sleeve Dress
I got this dress from LOFT for a STEAL and $12 and I think some of you snagged it earlier this week for even less!!!  It's so comfortable and flowy.  True to size.  I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can wear this.  There are still some sizes left so hurry before it sells out.  Shop full look -

#2 - Target's Home & Hearth line

It's official I'm obsessed with Target's Hearth and Hand line.  I'll admit it took me some time to come around to it...I wasn't wowed at first but now I can't get enough and it's helped me affordably give some new rooms in my house a makeover.  Here are some of my favorite pieces -

#3 - Natia necklace
I've been wearing this necklace all the time since it arrived earlier this month.  It goes with almost any outfit.  What I love is I can wear both strands together or just wear the beads or just wear the gold chain.  Such a versatile piece.  I HIGHLY recommend.

#4 - Target's Universal Line
I can't wait for the official launch of Target's new Universal Thread line.  In the meantime, we were teased with some shoes being available online.  So many great options to choose from.  So far my two favorites are the embroidered slides and slip on sneakers

#5 - Georgia Hoops
Love, love these Georgia hoops.  Different take on a hoop...medium weight...goes with anything.  The perfect earring to dress up on outfit.  Highly recommend.
