Five Friday Favorites #14

#1 - Addy Poncho

Absolutely obsessed with this Addy "poncho" from Stella & Dot's spring collection.  It is so comfortable.  The fabric is like a sweatshirt material...super soft!  It's multi-functional and can be flipped and turned into a cardigan as well.  Shop full look below.
Shoes (similar)

I am OBSESSED with this Kerastase hair mask.  I use it at least once a week to help manage the damage I do to my hair with the blow drying and flat ironing.  I highly, highly recommend.  A tub of this lasts me a pretty long time.

#3 - Strong Tees from Stella and Dot
I love twinning with my daughter and I love it even more when there is a strong message behind it like these I AM STRONG tees!  These are so cute.  I sized up for mine because I wanted a looser fit.  Big Mini is true to size.

#4 - Jay Godfrey Jumpsuit
I am so incredibly thrilled with my look for the wedding I have next month.  This jumpsuit is absolutely AMAZING!!  And it looks like I might get the opp to wear it again in March for an event.  I highly recommend.  It doesn't come in petite so I had to get the pants hemmed...A LOT.  Love how the look all came it below.

#5 - Intention Bracelets
Another favorite this week with meaning behind it.  Love these intention bracelets because of the message behind them - courage and strength.  Lots going on in my life and these bracelets give me the can do attitude I need.  I know it's cheesy but whatever gets you through...right?  Shop all three below -

DRESSING ROOM DIARIES - Stella and Dot Spring Collection

Here's a full recap of the Stella and Dot spring tops collection try ons...check out what worked, what didn't and what I recommend you must add to your closet!

I absolutely LOVE this Kendall top!  The drape detail in the front gives this top just a little extra something to make it standout from other tees.  The draping is actually very flattering.  Cotton is soft.  Highly recommend.  True to size.  Shop full look below.

I was so excited for this Lolo top because I love me some bell sleeves and the windowpane tulle detail looked so pretty on this one making it different than anything I have.  The fit is fantastic but I wasn't a fan of the blush fabric on the sleeves...just too different from the shirt fabric.  I'm going to return it for the black version.
Top -
Necklace -
Jeans -

The Ren top is SOOOO soft and so flattering.  I love the A-line hem.  It's a versatile top as you can wear it off one shoulder, off both shoulders or just as a regular shirt.  It even has little thumb holders.  I recommend sizing up.  I'm wearing a small.
Top -
Necklace -
Jeans -

Love this new Sienna and white is one of my favorite combos in the spring/summer.  I love the one shoulder tie detail...and it pairs so nicely with this new statement necklace.  True to size.  This will definitely be a go to outfit this spring.

Five Friday Favorites #13

#1 - Zella Leggings

I've basically lived in a few different types of Zella leggings for the past week with everyone being sick.  What I love about them is I can wear them to workout but also run errands, lounge around, etc.  Some of my favorite pairs include -
Hatha -
Hatha (on sale) -
Live In Electric Mix -
Live In Midi -

#2 - Rose Scrub
Got this rose scrub in my stocking for Christmas and I LOVE it.  The perfect amount of grit to give my legs and arms a good scrub.  And the rose smell is amazing.  Highly recommend.

#3 - Free People January Tee
This is my new favorite tee by Free People.  It's AMAZING.  Love the tunic length, material is soft and comfortable.  And overall the fit is perfect.  Highly, highly recommend.

#4 - New Bedding
I'm on a kick to give the house a refresh.  I started in the guest room with some new bedding to brighten it up.  Since it's just the guest room and doesn't get used everyday I didn't want to spend a lot of money.  Found this nice set from Target...and it was on sale.  Had everything I needed.  Now I need new end tables and art for above the bed...let me know if you have any recommendations.  There are three different ways you can buy this comforter, duvet cover or quilt.

#5 - New Jumpsuit
I am soooo excited I found this Jay Godfrey jumpsuit.  It's the perfect outfit for a wedding we have next month.  The fit is perfect (true to size).  And I got 30% off the already reduced price with code GILT30.  If you are looking for a fancy jumpsuit...that's a little sexy than I highly recommend this one!

Trunk Club Box Reveal #4

I absolutely LOVE this dress from Eliza J.  The cut is so flattering.  This dress is a thicker, sweater material so perfect to keep you warm in the winter but still look cute.  Looks great with high boots or pumps or flats.  I didn't keep it because I just couldn't justify the $118 price tag but I'll definitely keep an eye out for it to go on sale.  Shop full outfit details below.

Necklace -
Boots (similar) -

This is such a cute Bardot dress.  I never would have picked it for myself but I'm glad my Trunk Club stylist did.  I love the wrap style and ruffle details are perfection!  The XS was a little too tight on me so I didn't keep I want to wait for it to go on sale.  What I like about this dress is it can be worn for all seasons with boots, pumps, sandals, etc.  Highly recommend but size up.  Shop full details below.

Boots (similar) -

I love my Zella leggings and you can never have too many...right?  I mean they are versatile - wear them to work out or lounge.  I love these because they are one of my favorite styles - Hatha.  And they are a gray and purple pink stripe.  These were a keeper and they are on sale.  Highly recommend!

This Cotton Emporium sweater is just eh for me.  I liked the color block and mock turtleneck but there wasn't anything special about it for me to want to keep it.  I will sa y it's very soft and you don't have to wear anything underneath to prevent scratchiness.  Shop full look below.
Sweater -
Leggings -
Boots -

The last of the items are options I asked for to wear at an upcoming wedding...I ended up not going with any of them because between me requesting them and getting the delivery, I fell in love with the jumpsuit.

I fell in love with this Charles Henry tulip sleeve style dress.  I wish I had an occasion to wear it and I would have totally kept it.  The Eve bib necklace I have pairs so nicely with it.  Another versatile dress that works well with boots or pumps...wear with or without tights.  I can't find a link to it online right now but I'll definitely be on the hunt and will share when I find it.

This Trouve sheath dress isn't my style but it's super flattering and a great price point at $89.  It has sheer sleeves and ruching detail down the front.  It's form fitting but extremely flattering.  You could pair it with black tights or go bare....would work with pumps or opened toed.  As I mentioned, not my style so I returned it.

I didn't like anything about the ASTR the label dress.  The style, the color just didn't work for me.  Maybe if I had a tan I'd feel different. Needless to say, I returned this one.

And if you are interested in signing up for Trunk Club, check it out here.  Great way for someone else to shop for you....makes life so much easier.  And if you are a Nordstrom cardholder you don't have to pay a styling fee.

Five Friday Favorites #12

It's been a while since I've done a Five Friday Favorites.  This week's theme is keeping your skin hydrated in the cold months.  Here are five of my favorite products that help me.

#1 - Redefine Lip Renew Serum
I was introduced to this about a year ago and WOW does this stuff work to help prevent chapped lips all winter long.  Comes in little capsules that you pop open and rub the serum on your lips.  It's got vitamin E so it helps lips retain their natural moisture.  Oh and as a bonus it's supposed to also reduce the appearance of lip wrinkles.  Price tag is a bit hefty ($55 or $50 if your preferred customer) but if you do the math with 60 capsules it's less than a dollar a capsule.  And one is two treatments for in the morning and one at night.

#2 - Jamberry Cuticle Oil
I don't know about you but my cuticles get so dry in the winter.  I recently discovered this cuticle oil pen from Jamberry.  Love this because the product does wonders and the application is easy.  I can keep one at the office and one at home and be all set to make sure my cuticles stay hydrated.  Highly recommend.

#3 - Neutrogena Body Oil
This is THE BEST!  It's gives my skin just a little extra bit of moisture that it needs...especially in the cold months.  I put this on right after my shower (keep it in the shower so I don't forget) and it helps hold the moisture in.  It's lightweight enough but still keeps my skin feeling silky soft.  Seriously it's the best.

#4 - Chap Stick
I actually have a couple of chap sticks I like -

  • Rodan and Fields Essentials Lip Shield...I keep one of these at my bedside table and in my purse.
  • Burt's Bees...a great affordable chapstick option...always have one or two of these around.
  • Rosebud Perfume this it's more glossy than the other two.  Comes in a tub or tube.

#5 - Handcream
Same with chapstick...I have two go-to hand creams that I have in my office, at home (in several places) and in my purse.

  • Jamberry's Nourish...great moisturizer and smells great.  Comes in two sizes.  I like the bigger one for under my sink because I use it so much with doing dishes, washing hands, etc.
  • Rodan and Field's Hand's a bit on the pricey side but it definitely works.  I use this all winter long.

New Years Countdown!

If you were following on the blog yesterday then you saw my NYE countdown of the top 25 favorite items from Christina's Favorite Things readers.  Here's a recap with everything at your finger tips in case you missed anything!

#1 - Lush Tee - By far the MOST FAVORITE item by all of you and I agree...I mean I do own it in three different colors (white, black and maroon).  True to size for me but can also run a little big on some body types.  Great on its own or layered.  I'm loving the new violet color.

#2 - Hammered Hoop Earrings - Super popular earrings and I know why - simple but chic, easy to wear and come in three different tone - gold, silver and rose gold.  The small version are by the far the best seller but they also come in a larger version.  Highly recommend these for yourself or gift them to you favorite person.

#3 - BP Dolman Sleeve Sweater - This is an amazing sweater and was such a great price and then it went on even more sale.  So versatile for dressing it up or down.  Unfortunately it looks like it has sold out but I included a link just in case.  Here's an alternative option that would work well too.

#4 - Mossimo Jeans - I LOVE these jeans because they came in short and the length was perfect on me.  While that length isn't available online anymore the regular and some tall sizes are.  These are amazing jeans for the price.  You can dress them up or down I wear them all the time!
