It's happening...Shark Week x Vineyard Vines collab!

I don't really ever share what I do in my day job because I like to keep the separation BUT my work life and blog life have coincided and it has been SOOOO fun!  If you follow me on Facebook then you already know the scoop but for those of you that don't know, I work for Discovery and some of you may be familiar with a small thing one of our network's puts on - SHARK WEEK!!! 

This year is the 30th Anniversary and we have a VERY EXCITING partnership with Vineyard Vines on an amazing line of limited edition Shark Week clothes and other products. It has been SOOO popular with Christina's Favorite Things FB followers that I had to do a full recap of the line here on the blog.  

I LOVE a good long sleeve tee and this navy one is super cute.  Love the whale on the back with the Shark Fin detail.  The thing I love about vineyard vines tees is they are soooo soft.  This is true to size, wearing an XS.

There are four different hat options in the line so something for everyone including kids. My fav is the kids and the white one (not shown).  So in the picture with the hats lined up from left to right you've got the Trucker, Kids, Performance and White (not shown in pic).  

There are great accessories too in the line like this cosmetic pouch. It's sturdy canvas and has an adorable gingham lining. It's the perfect size too. And of course the shark trim makes it's super cute and unique. 


I've saved the best for last because my favorite stuff from the Vineyard Vines x Shark Week collab is the kids stuff.

 It's sooo cute. Here's big mini sporting my favorite T-Shirt print option...the pink whale with the shark fin. Sooo freaking cute. Comes in a shirt and hat for the kiddos.. Also has a navy option for the tees. These are selling out quickly so hurry. 

And the whole family can get in on the action - men's option and women's option.  Also comes in navy.  Poor little mini...I only had one to use but its ok because it will get passed down.

This Top Shop dress that at first I wasn't into until I put it on. It's super cute. Perfect for spring, summer and even early fall with a pair of booties. Definitely recommend. I felt it ran big so you might need to size down.

Fourth of July Looks

Put together a few cute looks that you can recreate for the Fourth of July holiday next week.  Tried to pick some that were pretty casual but could be dressed up or down. 

#1 - Pop of Red

Love this look and not just for Fourth of July.  Went for pops of color with the shoes and the bold lip - top, jeans, necklace, shoes, and lipstick.

 
#2 - Casual Dress

The Anthropologie dress keeps going in and out of stock so grab it while you can. True to size. Super fun. Dress it up with heels or keep it casual with flats.

#3 - Casual with a Twist

Simple and casual tank and jean shorts.  Love this look...easy and comfortable.  Throw on this cute kimono from Target if you are a little cool and to get the full red, white and blue look. 

#4 - Graphic Tee 

And then you can go simple casual with a fun graphic tee.  I mean who doesn't love rose!  And it's super affordable.  True to size.  More of a beer girl, don't worry, I've got you covered with this one.  

Five Friday Favorites - Finds Under $40

I wanted to focus this week's Five Friday Favorites on some of favorite finds under $40.  

#1 - Mae Pajamas

These are some fabulous PJs from Amazon...super soft and comfortable.  They are part of Amazon Wardrobe so you can try a couple sizes/patterns before actually purchasing them.  I ended up sticking with an XS because they top of of the S was too big.  Lots of patterns to pick from. 

#2 - BP Sunglasses 

These are fabulous BP sunglasses for $14.  Love the mirrored frames and tortoise shell detail.  I keep these in my car for when I forget my sunglasses which happens a lot.  Definitely recommend.  

#3 - Target Midi Dress 

 Love the color and style of this dress.  Fit is super cute, flattering and true to size.  My only complaint is this was really itchy on my skin.  Necklace isn't available anymore but found a similar one that is also under $40. 

#4 - A New Day tank and #5 - Universal Thread shorts

You can get this combined outfit for under $40!  The tank is a super soft cotton and so flowy.  Comes in a few different colors and its only $8.  True to size.  And the Universal Thread shorts are amazing.  Remind me of my Paige ones but they are a third of the price.  Also true to size. 

Trunk Club Reveal #8

I LOVE this Chelsea28 tank from my latest Trunk Club. The color was sooo pretty but it was a little too low cut for me. It's also available in a navy/white print. True to size. Get other items in this look - jeans and shoes.  

This is a cute shift dress. Love the floral print. You can dress it up or down. Fit is true to size. Please note the length...I'm 5'1" and it's pretty short on me and I'm not wearing a petite size. And if you don't already have these sandals they are a staple...totally worth the splurge! 

 I was really excited when I saw these Toms sandals in this month's trunk because I love a good neutral sandal and I'm looking for another super casual pair so I don't always wear flip flops. Really like the style of these and they are very comfortable but unfortunately my feet are too narrow for it and I was having a hard time keeping them on my feet. I have pretty narrow feet so I don't think others would have this issue. Comes in all sorts of colors and there's a neutral one with fun color pom poms. 

At first when this Top Shop dress arrived, I wasn't even going to try it because it wasn't anything I would normally have picked but after trying it on I LOVED it. The stripes are very flattering and I color combo works great. I would have liked to have tried a size smaller because this one felt big to me but that exchange option wasn't available. 

Who knew my favorite shift dress is now available in stripe and checkered pattern options....AND it's 40% off!! Both are super cute options but I love the stripe...figure flattering for sure. Consider sizing down as these run big. Check out the solid option if that's more your style. 

I don't NEED white jeans but these Vigoss ones are SUPER cute.  They are supposed to be cropped but of course on me are ankle length which works great.  They have some distressing which give them a more casual look which I like.  Fit is true to size.  And price point is great at $69.  Highly recommend.  Shop the other pieces in this look - top and shoes.  

Family Picture Coordination...Need your Help!!!

We leave for the beach in a little over a week and we always take a nice family shot on the beach.  I'm trying to coordinate outfits this year.  The minis will be wearing these dresses that were made by a very talented friend of ours.  They are sooo cute.  They have the girls names on them and a heart on the ribbon with Big Sis and Lil Sis written. 

I decided that I wanted to wear white and I think I'm going to have Hubs wear navy shorts and this shirt.  I need your help deciding which white dress to wear.  Below are four options...let me know what you think! 

#1 -  LOFT Eyelet Dress 

Love the eyelet detail on this dress and the wide sleeves.  It's lined so not see through.  It's a little boxy but doesn't bother me.  Definitely runs big so size down.  I'm wearing an XS regular...not petite for reference. 

#2 - Target Lace Dress

This lace dress from Target just screams beach (in my opinion).  Love the length, lace detail and tiered bottom.  It's a little big but I think I could get away with it especially with the under $30 price tag.  I'd recommend sizing down. 

#3 - Button Up Dress

This dress is very reminiscent of one I love from Target so of course I really liked it.  Very flattering and comfortable.  And not see through.  True to size.  Didn't realize the picture turned out blurry till after I uploaded it...sorry!

#4 - Lace Halter

I love this one...and it might be my favorite.  This is sooo flattering.  I love the mix of lace and Swiss dots.  I definitely could dress this up or down.  I'm wearing an XSP for reference.  Definitely size down.
