Pinterest Wednesday - Great Organization/Design Blog

I discovered Eat Sleep Decorate through Pinterest pin about organizing your laundry room.

I was instantly hooked on her posts.  She's got great design style and posts often about ways to organize rooms, closets and other nooks around your house.  She's also in the process of flipping a house so its fun to see everything she's doing.  Definitely check her blog out.  It's one of my go to reads for inspiration on design and organization.

Weekend Recap - Wedding Festivities in Greensboro

This past weekend we headed down to Greenboro, North Carolina for a wedding. We stayed at the Proximity Hotel which was very nice, the rooms were very big and the hotel overall very chic. The weekend was fabulous and the wedding was gorgeous. Here are some highlights from the weekend -
  • Took advantage of Give and Get and bought a new gray suit from Banana Republic.
  • Got some fabulous earrings from Francesca's...post to come on these purchases.
  • Met fellow blogger Virginia Belle. We both read each other's blog and were randomly sat at the same table.
  • Found an ADORABLE boutique - Simply Meg's which is located at The Shops at Friendly Center. The owner, Meg, is so fashionable, super sweet and very helpful. Her store has the cutest things! I bought a pair of AG Skinny Jeans and my friend got an adorable gold BCBG wrap dress.
Here are a few pictures from the festivities -

Favorite Thing #194 - Modestly Styled. Modestly Me. Blog

I can't remember how I came across Favorite Thing #194 but I'm a dedicated reader of Modestly Styled. Modestly Me. blog. This woman has an amazing style and that's what she blogs about. She shares with readers her daily outfits, reviews of her fabulous purchases and how to wear pieces multiple ways. Yesterday, she reviewed her recent LOFT purchases and I think I'm going to have to go out and get the striped tee she wrote about. Like I said before, she's got amazing taste and I've gotten a lot of wardrobe ideas from her. Definitely add her blog to your reader and blog roll.
I still love and wear Favorite Thing #94. Hubby got me this necklace as a surprise gift and I love it. The necklace is still available from South Moon Under but now you buy everything separately. You pick the chain and charms and build your own necklace. I'm thinking about getting an "M" charm and then I would have my initial and Hubby's initial. I've started pairing it with my star Dogeared necklace and it looks great.

Favorite Thing #146 - Chanel Sunglasses

I LOVE these sunglasses and they definitely are a top favorite thing when the sun is shining. I've had these Chanel sunglasses for four years now. I'm very protective of them and would be devastated if I lost them. They are the perfect shape for me (at least I think so) and fit my style. They are very Jackie O inspired and I love the simplicity of them. I take very good care of them - my case is always with me. And I have a back up pair of sunglasses for when I'm hanging out on the beach or at the pool. I had a hard time finding these online but they are available here for $139. Here's a picture of me with my sunglasses on from our trip to Barbados last year.

I am still a dedicated reader of Favorite Thing #46 - My Wardrobe Today. Allie has amazing style and I love seeing what she wears. She recently had an ADORABLE baby girl named Emerson. If you haven't already checked out her blog, you definitely should!

Favorite Thing #137 - Gigi's Gone Shopping

Favorite Thing #137 is one of the blogs that I frequent most often. Gigi's Gone Shopping is a great blog because she does a lot of the shopping for you. She goes to all of my favorite stores tries on clothes (some I really want and others that I wouldn't have thought to try on) and gives us real life pictures and reviews. I love it because I do a majority of my shopping online so when I see her reviews it helps me better gauge what things will look like. Thank you Gigi for making my online shopping easier!

Still love Favorite Thing #37. Unfortunately I recent wore through my pair of BCBG pumps so I don't have any in my closet. :( I have so many different pairs of black shoes in my closet that I am going to wait till I really need a pair of black pumps and then I will be sure to buy these.

Great New Recipe - Chicken Bacon Rollups

This amazing dish came courtesy of The View From My Shoes and the amazing thing is she created the recipe herself with the stuff she had at home. I used her picture because I was too lazy to take one last night. Thank you Alyia for such an amazing chicken dish. It was sooo good!! I screwed up the dish a little because I forgot the breading so we improvised and semi added it. It still tasted great so I can only imagine what it will taste like when I make it properly.

Ingredients
Chicken breasts
House-Autryfried chicken breading
Turkey Bacon - I used regular bacon
Parmesan Cheese
Horseradish Mustard - I used regular yellow mustard
Sour Cream
Eggs
Onion
Garlic

Directions
Chop the garlic and onions and added them to a sautee pan. Once they are clear, move to them your food processor. Then add I a scoopful of the sour cream and a scoopful of mustard, plus a handful of parmesan and then blended it to make a sauce. Pound the chicken so that they are large and thin, and dipped them in an egg wash before coating them with the fried chicken breading. Then spread the creamy mustard sauce on the chicken and added two strips of bacon in the middle before rolling it up legnthwise.

Bake at 400 for about 25 minutes (turning once in between)

Favorite Thing #108 - The Look 4 Less Blog

This blog is my newest obsession - The Look 4 Less. "J" in Iowa makes shopping so much more fun and affordable for her readers. She takes great celebrity and high end fashions and shows you how to get the look for less.
"In this world of celebrity culture, everyone wants the expensive, designer looks that they see on their favorite stars. I decided to start this blog to show people that you don't HAVE to always shell out large amounts of cash to have a similar look!
Her blog is updated all the time with lots of new great styles. Some styles are a little too out there for me like these lace up pumps but most of it are amazing look-a-likes. We have very similar tastes (both love J.Crew) so I have to control my need to buy everything she posts. My most recent purchase thanks to her blog is an Arden B. sweater. It should be arriving this week. I can't wait to wear it!

Really loving Favorite Thing #8 this week - J.Crew rewards. I got my spring $25 reward card in the mail and used it to do some early spring shopping and also take advantage of the 30% sale items. If you are a J.Crew regular shopper than I highly recommend that you get a J.Crew credit card. It's soo worth it.

Favorite Thing #46 - Blog: My Wardrobe Today

I came across My Wardrobe Today randomly several months ago when I was going from one blog to another looking for some fashion blogs to start reading. And this one is by far my favorite and one I check most often. The writer is a woman who lives in the DC area and literally blogs about her wardrobe every day and she has some GREAT fashion sense. She has a great mix of clothes for work and play from a variety brands. And she knows what its like to be a fashionista on a budget. In fact, I added two things from my wardrobe because of her posts - a super cute J.Crew Orange Peacoat Sweater and fabulous orange and pink peep toe wedges also from J.Crew. Here is a link of her wearing both together - super cute!

She loves J.Crew and Banana Republic which are two of my favorites stores and her style is simple and chic. Check out her posts and find some great ideas for your wardrobe. She also has another blog that on personal style that is just as good - Wardrobe Oxygen.
