Target Tuesday - Spring Transition Pieces

Target has been crushing it with their spring fashion. These are some of my favorites that are perfect to transition to the spring temperatures.

This is a super cute top for spring. I love that it's three quarter length sleeve for those chillier April days. I went with the green floral but there are a few other prints including a pink floral that is really pretty. It's work appropriate or for a night out. Fit is true to size.

This smocked style top is everywhere this season. This one from Who What Wear brand has super cute details like the balloon sleeves. It's the perfect transition top. Wear for work or play. Pair with jeans or white pants. I went with the chambray color but there are two very pretty spring prints available. I'm wearing a small but probably could have gotten away with an extra-small.

This dress reminds me very much like something you would see at Boden but the price tag is much better. It is the perfect dress to transition from winter to spring. Love the print - there is also a plaid and pink floral print available. Fit is true to size, I'm in an XS. It already has a pretty fitted look but you could also belt it. Which do you like better?

Here's another fabulous shoe find from Target. These casual slide sandals are super comfortable and are going to go with so many looks this summer. You can dress them up or down. Fit is true to size. They come in a bunch of shades of brown. I went with a darker one since I don't have that in my closet.

I've shown this dress before in black but I when it came back in the colors I wanted I had to snag them. Love the vibrant pink and the orange print. These are perfect for spring. The dress does run on the short side (I'm 5'1") so keep that in mind.  

Target Tuesday - Quick Dress and Bikini Try On

I've got a smaller Target try on for you with some fabulous dresses and two cute bikinis.

I am absolutely LOVING this look for the spring/summer months. It's perfect for work or play and the entire look is under $75! The dress is true to size and comes in a bunch of colors. I'm eyeing the pink and the print and just snagged them today to try. Shoes are also true to size and come in a few options.

This is a super cute denim dress from the Who What Wear brand. I love the button down detail and tie waist. It's a heavy duty denim so the belt is a little tricky to get tied just right. Perfect for work or play. Comes in one other denim rinse. Fit is true to size. Overall I think the dress is cute, but in my opinion I don't think it's worth the $40 Target price tag.

Another fabulous dress for spring. This one comes in a bunch of colors and you can dress it up or down. Very, very comfortable. Fit is true to size. I'm in an XS. Highly recommend as this is the perfect staple for your warm weather wardrobe.

This suit gives you a little more coverage on the top with the extra straps.

This was the perfect look for less version to the one I got from Beach Riot. 

Target Tuesday - Bring on Warmer Temps

It's been a long time since I've done a round up of Target try ons. I'm over winter and ready for some warmer temps and the Target new arrivals have me all excited. Check out some fabulous finds from my last shopping trip.

This dress is probably hands down my FAVORITE piece from this Target try on. The eyelet detail speaks my fashion love language. It's the perfect dress for the spring...definitely an Easter contender and then will be on repeat for work. I'm partial to this green but it also comes in black. Fit is true to size.

Here's a two for one review - dress and bag. Let me start with the dress. This is on trend with the cut outs. With trendier pieces like this I don't like to spend a ton of money on them because they tend to only be in-style for a season. I love the floral print on this one. It runs a bit small, I'm in a small here but tried the medium and think that one works better. Now onto the purse, I have a rattan bag from Amazon last season. It's a darker tone so I was on the hunt for a lighter one and this one is PERFECT.  This one has a full zipper and is adjustable. 

I tried out Target's look for less version of the Lululemon bag and overall I think its a fabulous alternative. Great size and shape (a little smaller than the Lululemon one), quality is good and there are a bunch of colors to pick from. I wish that these had been around at Christmas time and I would have snagged them for my minis.

Here's another look for less. I actually ordered the Dolce Vita version of these mules in nude (waiting for them to arrive) and decided to get the Target version in black (the nude wasn't available at the time). Now I can't compare them to the pricier version but these Target ones are fabulous. They are going to go with so many looks this spring and summer. Fit is true to size, I'm in my usual 6.5.

 

And we've got another shoe dupe for you. This time we have Birkenstocks look for less. I've had my eye on the metallic ones but couldn't justify the $100+ price tag for something I wasn't sure I was going to wear all that much. These are a fraction of the price at $25 and still cute and comfortable. They come in whole sizes so I sized up to a 7 (I normally wear a 6.5). And I paired them with my favorite Target under $20 cut off shorts.

Five Friday Favorites - Fall Transition Pieces

It has been a really long time since I've done a Five Friday Favorites but an idea sparked yesterday that I thought would be a fun post - Five Fall Transition Favorites.

#1 - Fall (but could still work for warm weather) Dresses 

Love all of these dresses because you can wear them now with sandals or flats and then once the weather gets warm you can transition to booties or boots. And did I mention all of these dresses are super affordable!

#2 - Casual Sneaker 

I have always wanted a pair of Golden Goose sneakers but couldn't justify the big price tag since I wouldn't wear them all the time. I found these Sam Edelman ones and they are the perfect dupes and they recently went on sale. Super cute and comfortable. Another great casual sneaker that I have and love is Rothy's slip ons. #3 - Jean Jacket 

A jean jacket is a MUST HAVE in your closet. I use mine year round and I love it. Goes with SO any things and its so perfect for layering. I've had this Kut from the Kloth one for years now and it never goes out of style. Highly recommend.

#4 - Layering Cardigan 

As we transition to fall clothes, you definitely need a layering cardigan in your closet to pull for those cool mornings and nights. This one from Target is perfect and very affordable. Goes with so many looks. I'm also a big fan of Barefoot Dreams ones...they are pricier but SO soft!!

#5 - Wrap

When I was working in an office every day, I would always have a wrap on hand because it could get really chilly. The same applies at home because some mornings it is so chilly. I LOVE this camo one from Amazon - so comfortable and chic. Comes in other prints as well. I also love a good plaid, like this one. 

Target Tuesday - Transitioning to Fall

Three super cute pieces to help you transition to fall...particularly on days like today in the DC area when it's going to hit close to 90!!

I love a good thrown on maxi dress and this one is PERFECT as we transition from summer to fall. It's basically like wearing a nightgown. I love it for my work from home days because it works for no matter what I need. And the length works for my 5'1" frame. Comes in a few colors and tie-dye print options.

I am OBSESSED with this top from Target's Universal Thread line. Perfect for now (with shorts) or transition to fall with jeans. Comes in a few prints but I was loving this dark green floral one. Fit is true to size.

Target Tuesday - Transitioning to Fall

As much as I love summer weather and fashion...I'm definitely ready for some fall clothes. Target has some fabulous transition pieces that you can wear when the temps start to cool down. 

I LOVE everything about this Who What Wear brand dress. Perfect fit (comfortable but still flattering), fabulous print and I can wear it now with sandals and then pair it with booties in the fall. If the print is too much for you and you want something a bit more subdued, there is a black/white floral print available. Fit is true to size. 

Another fabulous dress but this time from the Knox Rose brand. I love the green print. It's so cute and unique...and most importantly like nothing I have in my closet. Works now with sandals but will be perfect in the fall with high boots and a cardigan. Also comes in a navy floral print. I'm very tempted to get that one too. Fit is true to size. 

Moving on to sweaters, I picked up two different ones to try. Truthfully after the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I don't need ANY sweaters but I couldn't resist trying these two. 

I had a similar sweater to this one in the spring from Nordstrom and let me tell you this is basically identical but a fraction of the cost. I went with a dark green for all and winter and it's super cute. You can dress it up with boots or down with a pair of sneakers. Comes in a bunch of colors. Fit is true to size.

I love a good neutral cardigan to layer in the fall and winter. Surprisingly I don't have a taupe/beige one in my closet so I decided to snag this one from the Universal Thread brand. Super comfortable and cozy. Will be great with jeans but also is perfect for layering with dresses. Lots of colors to pick from and it runs true to size.

How cute is the ruffle sleeve top!?!?! It's the perfect $20 spring/summer top. I had to try it in two colors but there are SO many more options. Fit is true to size. You can dress it up or down. Definitely a winner for your summer wardrobe. 

This is a super cute babydoll style dress. Love the floral print...perfect for spring/summer. Fit is true to size. The only thing I didn't like was the way the bust line hit...was a little too short for my "girls." Comes in one solid and one other print option.

Putting myself out there in another bathing suit post. This one is from Target and I absolutely LOVE it. I love the style of the top, very flattering but I also feel secure and nothing will pop out. The band was a little snug but I have a feeling it will loosen with wear. And the color is so pretty. Fit is true to size. Definitely recommend.

Another dress winner. Love the playfulness of this dress with the ruffle sleeves, gathered waist and tiered skirt. It's a beautiful, feminine floral print. Fit is true to size and on my 5'1" frame it's the perfect length.

I love a cute white top for the spring and this one has all the fabulous details - eyelet and a ruffle sleeve. Fit is true to size. If you'd prefer a bit of color, it also comes in lilac and rust options.

Target Tuesday - A Mix Bag of Try Ons

Super cute dress with the perfect ruffle hem detail. This dress is so versatile. Wear it to work, play or the pool. It's fabulous on it's own or pair it with a blazer for work or throw it over the bathing suit when you head to the pool/beach. Fit is true to size. Comes in a bunch of colors.  

This top is the perfect transition top to spring. Cute ruffle and embroider detail and has a peplum top which is forgiving on the waist. Perfect top for your video calls. Comes in blue and black as well. Fit is a bit big so consider sizing down. 

I'm such a sucker for a cute black dress and this puff sleeve one from the A New Day brand got me. I love the sleeves and the swiss dot fabric. Extremely flattering (supposed to be midi but a little longer on me). And the best part is that it has POCKETS!!  Fit is true to size. Also comes in a light purple. 

I love these cropped muscle tanks from the Joy Brand so much that I got them in two color. Really soft, lightweight material. Great for working out or just lounging around. They come in a BUNCH of colors. HIGHLY recommend. Fit is true to size. And they are under $20!!!

This wasn't my favorite of the Target dresses I have tried on this season. I love the blue/white stripe. Reminded me of seersucker but I didn't think the dress was very flattering on me. I think if I was a bit taller. Fit is true to size. Also comes in a light tan/white stripe.
