Favorite Thing #166 - Victoria's Secret Ruffle Bikini

I have been LOVING Victoria's Secret's bathing suits (and their prices). I got this one this year and its a definite favorite thing. It is the Ruffle Classic Top and matching bottoms. It's so different and cute. The top is $18.50 and the bottoms are $14.50 (not the cheapest of the ones I got this year but still a good price). I love the coral color. It's the perfect shade of light pink. I wish I looked as good as the model in the picture above...but I don't. Here's a shot of me in the top of the suit (the bottoms were on back order so I wore white bottoms).

OPI's Passion will always be a favorite thing because it was the color I wore on my wedding day. It's the perfect light pink color and can be worn all year round. It's actually what I have on my fingers right now as I type this post.

Favorite Thing #155 - Overexposed in South Beach by OPI

I have to give credit to High Heels and Sweatshirts for Favorite Thing #155. She posted about this great OPI color from the new South Beach collection and I had to try it. I had it on my toes for my trip to FL.

Two of my friends liked it so much they put it on their toes. I'm not a big fan of purple nail polish on ties but this is the perfect shade.

Still love and play Favorite Thing #55. Ladder Ball is a staple at each of our cookouts and backyard parties. I definitely recommend getting it if you don't already have it.

Favorite Thing #154 - Hanky Panky

I have you guys to thank for this favorite thing. Many of my fellow bloggers and followers have raved about Hanky Panky thongs. And now they are one of my favorite things. Thanks to a recent RueLaLa boutique I purchased a set of three low rise thongs ($35). I LOVE THEM!!! I hate wearing thongs...until these. They are very comfortable - it doesn't even feel like you are wearing a thong. I really have nothing bad to say about them except the price. Unfortunately they are $18/pair (and I won't spend that) so Ih ope that RueLaLa has another Hanky Panky boutique soon because I want to stock up.

Rue La La is a By-Invitation-Only Sample Sale site. Click Here to sign up using my personal invitation link. This link will grant you immediate access to the site after you sign up. (FYI - If you just sign up the regular way you will just be put on the waiting list.)

Favorite Thing #54 (Chapel of Love) is still in my nail polish rotation for spring/summer. It's such a fresh shade of pink and looks so pretty on. It's not too bright so you can wear it on both your fingers and toes.

Favorite Thing #149 - GAP Denim Jacket

I definitely can't live without this favorite thing. I have had the same GAP denim jacket for six years and I LOVE it. I especially love it this time of year because it's perfect to bring out when the weather is a little cooler...especially at night. I went on GAP's website and they don't have one up there but they might have them in the stores. This is a staple in any woman's wardrobe so if you don't have one already I think this is a must buy. And for the record I'm don't wear denim on denim...I'm not a fan. What are your thoughts on the denim jacket?

Favorite Thing #49 is still one of the top colors I put on my toes during the summer. I think this is the color that I am going to put on my toes for our upcoming vacation to FL this month. What's your favorite OPI toe color for the summer?

Favorite Thing #118 - Hidden Desk

The one issue we had when we moved into our new house was that I needed a place to do work from. My husband doesn't have an office to go to everyday, he is in the field four days a week and then home one day a week and that mean's his office is at our house. I don't get any space in his office. It's not very big and since that's his only office I give him his space. We needed to come up with a solution as to what to do with my stuff. We found a solution at my favorite store - Crate and Barrel - a hidden desk. It looks like any other piece of furniture but inside it is a desk. It works perfectly.

There is a place for my computer, books that I need to read, my stationary, Favorite Thing #117, etc.

There is even a drawer for all my hanging files, camera and camera case, blank CDs, etc.

Unfortunately I can't find this one on the Crate and Barrel website. There is a more expensive version then the one I have - the Incognito Compact Desk ($899).

You will still see Favorite Thing #18 on my nails. It wasn't on my nails as much this year since I discovered a few other favorite colors.

Favorite Thing #115 - Lincoln Park After Dark

So another great dark nail polish - OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. This has been a favorite of mine because my sister-in-law Aimee always has it on her nails but I never tried it on my nails till after the holidays because my sister, Jennifer gave me a bottle for Christmas. I have it on my nails now and I love it. Goes with anything and I carry the bottle in my purse always just in case I need to do a touch up.

Still using Favorite Thing #15 every day. It keeps my veggies lasting so much longer. I even got my brother hooked on them. He requested the round one for lettuce.

Favorite Thing #78 - OPI's We'll Always Have Paris

Again another favorite thing from OPI's France Collection. I just tried this polish and it was instant love - We'll Always Have Paris. This color has the purple hue that I Think I Can Can has but has a little more red to it. Another perfect fall color. I really love this collection from OPI and so far I am two for two. I'm not the only one that's fallen in love so has The Fashionable Housewife.

Favorite Thing #72 - OPI's Yes You Can Can

OPI has a new fall color collection out called - La Collection De France. There are a few new colors in this collection that I want to try. I already have a favorite - Yes You Can Can. I have it on my finger nails right now. It's a dark polish with deep purple and brown hues, perfect for fall. The one problem with having dark nail polish on is that when it chips you can see it easily so I always make sure I have a bottle on hand for any necessary touch ups. The other colors in the collection that I want to try are Eiffel for this Color and We'll Always have Paris. Stay tuned for posts on those colors.

Favorite Thing #66 - OPI's Passion

This is a great manicure for all seasons - OPI's Passion. It's a very, very light pink color. This was the color that I wore on my wedding day. It's very natural looking which I love because if it chips you can't really tell. The color looks much pinker in the picture than it actually is.

Favorite Thing #18 - OPI's "oh to be 25 again" nail polish

This is another nail polish in my collection. This is one of my favorite fall/winter nail colors - it's not too dark, not too light, not too red and not too brown - it's just perfect - OPI's "Oh to be 25 again"

I am a big fan of painting my finger nails a dark color in the fall and winter months and this is my usual go to. There are two problems that I have with it -

  1. I can't paint my nails myself with this color. I'm just not that talented and the manicurist does such a better job!
  2. When it chips you can definitely see it (but that's why I have my own bottle on hand to touch it up myself).

Favorite Thing #5 - OPI's Bubble Bath Nail Polish

I try and get manicures about twice a month so this will be the first of a few posts that will include my favorite nail polish choices. OPI's Bubble Bath is one of my favorite colors to use and probably the one I use the most. It's a great neutral color with slight pink hues. The great thing about this color is that it's one you can wear year round both on your fingers and toes. I have a bottle of it at home so I can easily do touch ups or paint my nails myself. The color is subtle enough that you really can't tell the difference between a manicurist's job and your own. Follow it up with OPI Top Coat for a lasting finish. Right now on Amazon.com you can buy the two together for $12.70.
