Fourth of July Styling Ideas
No matter what your plans are for Fourth of July, I've got the look for you. I've styled casual and dressy, very patriotic to subtle solid red, white and blue. Check out some of my favorite looks -
I had to include something from Gibson x HiSugarplum Pop of Color collection because it's so perfect. Two options for you...something casual or a little more dressed up. This print is available in a bunch of options so check out the full collection.
Here's another red, white and blue print dress. Very flattering silhouette. Straps are thick enough that you can wear a bra with it. Very comfortable too. And another great Target price point.
I love the detail on this J.Crew peplum top (available on Amazon with Prime shipping). The embroider detail is PERFECTION. It's a subtle way to do Fourth of July colors. I'd pair it with a pair of white shorts or white jeans. SO cute.
If you'd prefer to wear shorts, try these paper bag ones from J.Crew that are on sale right now. Super cute style made with comfortable cotton. You can dress them up or down. If you'd prefer a solid color vs. print then try these (from the Gibson x HiSugarplum line).
This is the perfect red, white and blue dress. Super cute wrap style (runs a bit big in chest area) dress with pulls of the patriot colors throughout. You can definitely dress it up or down. Great Target price point.

If you'd rather a more subtle print in a dress then try this navy and white polka dot one from Amazon. Super comfortable. Another one you can dress up or down.
If you don't want a print at all then here are some fabulous solids with both dresses and rompers (my favorite). Varying price points from Amazon and Nordstrom. You can't go wrong with any of them. Fit is true to size across the board (I'm in petites for the rompers).

Dressing Room Diaries - Gibson x HiSugarplum Pop of Color Collection
Here is the FABULOUS #gibsonxhisugarplum Pop of Color collection. This is by far my FAVORITE collection she has done. Everything is on point with color, prints and fit. I'm wearing a PXS in everything unless otherwise noted. While a lot of stuff has sold out, I have a feeling there will be restocks as folks return. I'll keep you updated on the restocks on my Facebook page.
I love this top...super soft cotton with a flattering cut. Love the ruffle sleeves. You can wear it with any bottoms. Two stripe options and some solids available. True to size.
I'm a big fan of the paper bag shorts. And of course she has a fabulous pair in this collection. Love the prink and red print. So fun. Also comes in a solid red. Dress them up or down. They sold out quickly but keeping check back as I think with returns, they will come back in some sizes.
I LOVE the fit of this dress. SO flattering with the racerback style. You can totally dress it up or down. I didn't get a good picture of the back but there is GORGEOUS embroider detail. Other colors available. Fit is true to size.
This is such a fabulous skirt. Has soo much movement...it's so fun. Fit is true to size (I'm in a PS...I always size up in skirts). Love this print of course and it pairs perfectly with the one shoulder top but you can mix and match. Would be a great skirt for work because the length is just above the knee. Solid colors and other prints available.

I LOVE a good romper and this one from the collection is super cute. You can dress it down or up (it's not cotton...it's a polyester blend). Fit is true to size. I made the mistake of sizing up and it was too big. Comes in another pretty print and solid black.
I'm a big fan of maxi dresses...especially when they come in petite sizes. This one from the collection is GORGEOUS. I love the bright blue with the white embroidered detail. Has a criss cross back. I felt secure with no bra but you can definitely wear a strapless one. Fit is true to size.

Dressing Room Diaries - Gibson x Motherchic Collaboration
Finally getting around to reviewing the Gibson x The Motherchic collaboration. LOVE so many pieces in this line and I tried them on forever ago but life has gotten in the way from me posting so here we finally go.
Love this smocked dress. SUPER soft fabric. Perfect for work or play. Wear with heels or flats. Such a versatile dress. Fit is true to size. Great transition piece for later this summer when we start to enter fall...just throw on a denim jacket. Highly recommend.
I love a good jumpsuit and this one is AMAZING. The material is SO soft...it feels like I'm wearing pajamas. And it's great because for us shorties...petite sizing is available. Runs a little big so consider sizing down. I'm in an XSP and it works great.
I love the flowiness of this woven top. Being a mom and chasing after kiddos, I wear a lot of shorts in the summer so I'm always looking for cute tops (more than a basic v-neck tee/tank) and this one is perfect. I love the polka dot but it also comes in a floral and solid yellow. I'm wearing a PS and it fits great.
I love a good wrap dress and this one doesn't disappoint! Love the style with the gathered three-quarter length sleeves and ruffle hemline. Perfect for work or event. The petite length hit me perfectly. Also comes in a red floral print. I'm wearing a SP but could have sized down to an XSP...was a little big in the chest area.

Dressing Room Diaries - MAJOR May Amazon Haul
Here's a major Amazon Dressing Room Diary with a TON of different looks and a guest appearance from my first styling client (and friend) Erica.
I'm obsessed as soo many others are with this top! Such a cute pattern. It's a little long on my 5'1" frame but I can tuck it in so that it doesn't overwhelm me. I am in a small and works great. Also comes in other patterns and short sleeve option. It's a bit low cut on me so you might want to wear a cami underneath like this one.
This is another cute dress find from Amazon. I love the stripes and the faux wrap style. Very flattering. Fit is true to size but the length is definitely on the shorter end. I'm 5'1" and it was pretty short on me which is why I paired it with flats. Other colors available.
I know this isn't me but I had to share what I picked for my styling client (and friend) Erica. She's got a wedding weekend in FL and asked me to style her looks for rehearsal dinner, wedding, post-reception beach party and brunch. We picked this floral number for the rehearsal dinner. Comes in a bunch of prints. Can run a bit big so consider sizing down. Lots of prints available.
This is a fabulous simple cotton black dress. It's very lightweight. Great to throw on for errands. I will most likely wear it as a cover up. It goes on lightning deal a lot (that's when I snagged it) so make sure you are following me on Facebook to stay in the know of details.

Love the boho vibe of this dress I found. It's a very low cut style but it worked well with a bralette I have because it also has an open back with some peekaboo so you can see the bralette design. I'm in a small and it works great. Other colors and prints available.

If you've been following me for a while then you know I'm OBSESSED with pajamas...and even super OCD on how I launder them. I went a little crazy last year (and the year after) with PJs so I've been holding on getting any till recently.
I had to try these Amazon ones and I just LOVE them. They are so soft and comfortable. Lots of colors (and patterns) to pick from. I sized up to a small for a looser fit.
Add these super comfy, cozy pajamas to my collection. Another winner from the brand Mae. Other color combos available. I size up for a looser fit.
I'm a sucker for eyelet and this Amazon dress is just perfection! I love the detail throughout. Pretty ruffles at the sleeves. Comes in a bunch of colors. The small was a bit big on me so consider sizing down.

I am OBSESSED with this jumpsuit from my FAVORITE Amazon brand Daily Ritual. It's like wearing pajamas. Straps are thick enough that you can wear your bra. Length is great on my (I'm 5'1"). I'm wearing an XS and it fits great. Target has a VERY similar version that I'm gong to check out and report back if it's a good look for less. Stay tuned!
