Target Tuesday - Bring on Warmer Temps

It's been a long time since I've done a round up of Target try ons. I'm over winter and ready for some warmer temps and the Target new arrivals have me all excited. Check out some fabulous finds from my last shopping trip.
This dress is probably hands down my FAVORITE piece from this Target try on. The eyelet detail speaks my fashion love language. It's the perfect dress for the spring...definitely an Easter contender and then will be on repeat for work. I'm partial to this green but it also comes in black. Fit is true to size.
It would be the perfect Easter dress and you can definitely wear to work too. It comes in black as well as this gorgeous green. Fit is true to size. This definitely won't last long.

Here's a two for one review - dress and bag. Let me start with the dress. This is on trend with the cut outs. With trendier pieces like this I don't like to spend a ton of money on them because they tend to only be in-style for a season. I love the floral print on this one. It runs a bit small, I'm in a small here but tried the medium and think that one works better. Now onto the purse, I have a rattan bag from Amazon last season. It's a darker tone so I was on the hunt for a lighter one and this one is PERFECT.  This one has a full zipper and is adjustable.

I tried out Target's look for less version of the Lululemon bag and overall I think its a fabulous alternative. Great size and shape (a little smaller than the Lululemon one), quality is good and there are a bunch of colors to pick from. I wish that these had been around at Christmas time and I would have snagged them for my minis.

Here's another look for less. I actually ordered the Dolce Vita version of these mules in nude (waiting for them to arrive) and decided to get the Target version in black (the nude wasn't available at the time). Now I can't compare them to the pricier version but these Target ones are fabulous. They are going to go with so many looks this spring and summer. Fit is true to size, I'm in my usual 6.5.

And we've got another shoe dupe for you. This time we have Birkenstocks look for less. I've had my eye on the metallic ones but couldn't justify the $100+ price tag for something I wasn't sure I was going to wear all that much. These are a fraction of the price at $25 and still cute and comfortable. They come in whole sizes so I sized up to a 7 (I normally wear a 6.5). And I paired them with my favorite Target under $20 cut off shorts.

Five Friday Favorites - Fall Transition Pieces

It has been a really long time since I've done a Five Friday Favorites but an idea sparked yesterday that I thought would be a fun post - Five Fall Transition Favorites.

#1 - Fall (but could still work for warm weather) Dresses
Love all of these dresses because you can wear them now with sandals or flats and then once the weather gets warm you can transition to booties or boots. And did I mention all of these dresses are super affordable!

Right Side Outfit Details - top / jeans / shoes
#2 - Casual Sneaker
I have always wanted a pair of Golden Goose sneakers but couldn't justify the big price tag since I wouldn't wear them all the time. I found these Sam Edelman ones and they are the perfect dupes and they recently went on sale. Super cute and comfortable. Another great casual sneaker that I have and love is Rothy's slip ons. Come in a bunch of colors and they are washable. And click here to get $30 off your first purchase.

A jean jacket is a MUST HAVE in your closet. I use mine year round and I love it. Goes with SO any things and its so perfect for layering. I've had this Kut from the Kloth one for years now and it never goes out of style. Highly recommend.

Left Look - cardigan / tee / jeans / sneakers
Right Look - cardigan / dress / sneakers

#4 - Layering Cardigan
As we transition to fall clothes, you definitely need a layering cardigan in your closet to pull for those cool mornings and nights. This one from Target is perfect and very affordable. Goes with so many looks. I'm also a big fan of Barefoot Dreams ones...they are pricier but SO soft!!

wrap / top (oldie) / necklace / jeans

#5 - Wrap
When I was working in an office every day, I would always have a wrap on hand because it could get really chilly. The same applies at home because some mornings it is so chilly. I LOVE this camo one from Amazon - so comfortable and chic. Comes in other prints as well. I also love a good plaid, like this one

Five Friday Favorites - Recent Buys

Here's a quick roundup of some of my favorite purchases in this week's Five Friday Favorites.

#1 - Rothy's Mask
These Rothy's masks just came back in stock this week and they are by far my favorite adult masks. It's SO much more breathable than others I've tried. Comes in a two pack with this pink/orange combo and a light/dark blue combo. HIGHLY recommend. Snag them now because they will sell out.

#2 - Old Navy Jumpsuit
I LOVE a good jumpsuit and after I saw my SIL in this one at the beach, I needed to have it. Super soft material because its part of the Old Navy Activewear line. Comes in a bunch of colors and sizes (petite and tall). I'm wear a regular small for reference.

#3 - Cross Body Bag

SO many of my blogger friends rave about this cross body bag and I finally got one and LOVE it.  Fits everything I need (even my laptop). Comes in a bunch of colors...I went with camel to go with everything. It doesn't come with a strap but that's the fun of it, you can pick a variety of adjustable straps to change up the look bag and coordinate your outfit. Right now I have the embroidered one but have a lot of other ones on my wish list. Shop all of Social Threads bags and straps here.

#4 - BuDhaGirl All Weather Bangles

I am OBSESSED with these all weather bangles. They look like fancy gold bangle bracelets but they are made with a material that makes them weightless, soundless and waterproof. You can wear them anywhere and every where. They go with SO many outfits...including your bathing suits. They come in a variety of colors and tones. I started with gold because it would go with the most things. Wear them all or only a few. HIGHLY recommend.

#5 - Hi Sugarplum Gibson Celebrate Summer Collection

I always love Cassie from Hi Sugarplum's collaborations with Gibson and her Celebrate Summer line didn't disappoint. Read all the review on my Dressing Room Diary post.

Five Friday Favorites - What I'm Loving this Beach Trip

We've had a great week at the beach. It was so good to be at a different place. We kept with the same quarantining and haven't left the beach house (had all our groceries delivered via Instacart). Here are some of the items I've been loving on this trip.

#1 - Beach Bag
This bag has been my favorite bag to use all summer. Fits everything we have in a nice and organized manner. And what I LOVE the most about it for the beach is that it's mesh so the sand doesn't get all in the bag. It's back in stock but it sells out quickly.

#2 - Beach Hat

This hat was a last minute purchase before the beach. I've been trying really hard to take care of my skin and limit sun exposure and this hat is perfect for it. It has a nice wide brim but was sold me was the fact that I can have my hair up in a ponytail or bun while wearing the hat. A nice bonus is that it rolls up for easy packing.

#3 - Face Mask
This intense hydrating mask is a skin life saver while I've been at the beach. My skin gets SO dry from all the beach and pool time so after my shower I lather this on my face and it gives it a big drink. I use it regularly at home but this is the first time bringing it to the beach and I'm SO glad I did.

#4 - Sand Cup Holder
This holder was gifted to me a few years ago by my SIL and I've used it every beach trip since. It's the PERFECT lay at the beach accessory. Fit's my Yeti perfectly so it doesn't get sandy and I can easily access it.  I've gifted it now to family and friends. HIGHLY recommend.

#5 - Sweatshirt

This was a recent Amazon purchase and I last minute added it to my beach packing for those cool nights on the beach. I'm so glad I did because I've worn it almost every night. It's SO soft! Comes in a bunch of colors. I size up to a small because I like a looser fit.

Five Friday Favorites - Pool/Beach Must Haves

I'm a simple girl when it comes to what I need at the beach/pool. Give me the sun, sand, water and a few small things and I'm a happy camper.

#1 - Beach/Pool Bag
cover up (similar) / bag / sunnies (similar)

LOVE, LOVE this beach bag. I got it over the holiday times and we have been using it non-stop since we started pool hopping. It's big enough to fit all our towels and then some plus it has a ton a of pockets to fit goggles, sunscreen, etc. HIGHLY recommend and it's under $20!

#2 - Polarized Sunnies
While I love my Ray-Ban sunnies, I have a hard time spending a lot of money on sunglasses each season because I tend to lose them or scratch them. Thankfully, last year I discovered these amazing sunnies. They are polarized and really do block out out the sun...plus they are fashionable and come in all different color options. I converted my family at the beach last year. Check them out.

#3 - Cover Up

I love a good cover up and Amazon has been my go-to spot for them the last couple of years. Lots of great styles and really good prices. Above are the new ones I got this year and below are the ones I snagged last year. I LOVE them all!

#4 - Insulated Cup
When I got to the beach, I bring two insulated cups - one is my big Yeti to have with water (and then later fill with cocktails) and the other is my Corkcicle to keep my wine (or other cocktails nice and cool).

#5 - Phone Cover
I don't bring a camera down to the beach anymore....instead it's my phone so I need something to protect it. I got these cases last year and LOVED them. We will use them every year. Easy to use and definitely protects your phone from water and sand.

#6 - Good Book...and I'm now going to try a Kindle
See the source image
I had to add a sixth one this week because there is nothing like curling up at the beach or pool with a great book. Now that my minis are getting older, it's much easier for me to read. I did end up ordering a Kindle on sale yesterday based on the feedback from my Facebook post. It's still on sale (as of post time) so check it out if you are interested in joining me. Here are some of my all time favorite beach reads...and a few recent reads from last summer.

Anything by Emily Giffin but my all time favorites are Something Borrowed and Something Blue.
Some of my favorites from last summer - Tattooist of Auschwitz, Where the Crawdad Sings, Little Fires Everywhere, The Other Woman, Before We Were Yours and The Woman in the Window. I just finished The Nightingale and about to start Sold on a Monday.

Five Friday Favorites - Accessories for Summer

With it starting to feel like summer (it's only a few weeks away) and states starting to slowly open things up, I think I'd focus this week's Five Friday Favorites on my favorite accessories all but one are from last season, are still available and I'll be wearing them all summer.

#1 - Statement Earrings
earrings / romper (similar)

I LOVE these $15 earrings from Amazon. They are lightweight and SO fun summer. There are SO many great colors to pull from your summer wardrobe.  I sometimes find myself buying pieces in my wardrobe to go with the earrings! Highly recommend. I've already worn them a couple of times this season.

Outfit #1 - earrings / shirt / jeans / shoes
Outfit #2 - earrings / shirt / sunnies / purse / shorts (similar) / shoes

#2 - Enso Rings

Normally this is my ring for spring/summer on the weekends by I've been rocking it since we were in quarantine. It so lightweight and durable. They come in a ton of colors. These are perfect for when you are at the pool and the beach.

#3 - Best. Sunnies. Ever
These are seriously the best sunnies ever. I discovered them last year and got my whole step family hooked. They block the sun, are very fashionable AND an amazing under $20 price point. I've been wearing them all quarantine.

Outfit #1 - sunnies / dress / shoes
Outfit #2 - sunnies / shirt / jeans / flops

#4 - Rattan Purse

Let me introduce you to the most perfect and versatile purse for spring/summer. You can dress it up or down. Carries everything I need for a night out or when I need to run a quick errand. And it goes with any outfit.

I shared the most versatile purse, now here are the most versatile shoes. These are the only new addition this year. I got them from Target and they are AMZING. Extremely comfortable and like with the purse, you can dress them up or down. Fit is true to size.

Outfit #1 - earrings / tank / shorts (similar) / shoes
Outfit #2 - jacket / dress / shoes
