Menu Monday

This week's menu is pretty simple. We tried to pick foods that we already had in the house.

Monday - Omaha Steaks Bacon Wrapped Steaks, Side Salad, Twice Baked Potato
Tuesday - Turkey Club Sandwiches
Wednesday - Tuna Fish Sandwiches
Thursday - Hubby's Birthday Dinner @ Outback Steakhouse
Friday - Omaha Steak Gourmet Hot Dogs

Meet our new pet...

A couple of week's ago Hubby discovered that baby bunnies were born in our backyard. The mother transported all of the bunnies out of our backyard except for one. I discovered he was still in our plant when I was watering. Since that day he's become a part of our family. Hubby has named him (not sure if it's a he or she) Rambo. Hubby is the primary care giver and puts out lettuce and warm milk for him (or her). We didn't think he would keep coming back but every day we check and he's still in our backyard. Hubby's afraid to mow the lawn because of this so our backyard is starting to look like the Amazon. I'll keep updating with pictures as long as our new furry friend stays in our backyard.

More Rue La La

Two more great Rue La La boutiques tomorrow. Lots of great stuff so make sure you check it out when the boutiques open at 11am EST.

First is Vera Wang Lavender and well do I really need to say anything else. Her stuff is just fabulous. I looked at the preview and there is some super cute stuff for fall.



Second is Mariposa. I absolutely love their silver stuff for the home. It's so unique and classic. I'm sure there is going to be lots of cute stuff. Hopefully I find some cute gifts for Christmas.

My Mistake...

I just realized that I never revisited Favorite Thing #68. I absolutely LOVE this free service. Shop it to Me does the bargain/sale shopping for you! It's simple and easy. Once you sign up, you fill out a survey with your sizes, favorite stores, etc and then once a day (in the morning) you receive an email that has all these great clothes, shoes, accessories on sale. And it's all stuff that meets your profile's requirements. I've found some really amazing deals because of this site.

Favorite Thing #173 - Maybelline's Colossal Mascara

I now have two favorite cheap mascaras (and they are both from Maybelline)! As you may remember my first favorite cheap mascara was Favorite Thing #107 - Intense XXL. I still love it but I don't use the base coat every time so I thought I would try something new. My sister-in-law Meghan loves Maybelline's Colossal mascara so I thought I would give it a try and now it's Favorite Thing #173. It's amazing how much volume you get...it's colossal volume (ok cheesy, I know but its true). The mascara goes on smooth (no clumps), doesn't streak down my face when I sweat, and is easy to remove with eye make up remover. And it's a $1.00 cheaper than Favorite Thing #107 (you know me, always trying to save a few pennies). Definitely check it out if you are in the market for a new mascara.

Tomorrow Rue La La has two great boutiques tomorrow - Max Mara and Calvin Klein Home. I'm sure both are going to have amazing stuff that I technically don't need but definitely want. Make sure you check it out at 11 am before all the good stuff is gone.

From My Closet to Yours...

Below are some shoes I have for sale. I thought I would give my fellow bloggers a chance to buy these before I put them up on ebay. These are adorable Kate Spade shoes that I bought last year. They are in excellent condition because I only wore them a few times. They are a size 6 and are black and white print. The inner soles are a super cute pink. Weekend Recap

Another relaxing weekend at home. Friday night we headed to Wolftrap to watch Discovery Channel's Blue Planet on the big screen with the score played by a live orchestra. It was amazing to see and hear. Saturday we spent the day with our niece and nephew. They are getting so big and cuter and cuter everytime we see them. Sunday was suppsed to be spent laying out but we had rain so Hubby (who's golf game was cancelled) caught and early movie and ran errands.
