Another Great Giveaway
Favorite Thing #158 - Fredric Fekkai Luscious Curls Cream

I discovered this favorite thing while on vacation in FL. I knew that the weather was going to be humid and I was going to wear my hair curly so I needed a smaller size bottle of curl cream. I knew Fredric Fekkai Luscious Curl Cream came in a 1.6 oz bottle that would fit perfectly in my bag so I decided I would try it out. I'm so glad I did because I LOVE IT! My curls were defined and soft (not crunchy like some products make them). I also felt that my natural curls came out a lot more with this cream.
They also made my friend's hair (who really doesn't have much natural wavy) curly (not as curly as mine though). I still like Favorite Thing #24 but definitely prefer the Fredric Fekkai.
Still love and eat Favorite Thing #58 - Sopapilla Cheesecake! It is the best dessert ever and sooo easy to make. Sopapilla Cheesecake Recipe
2 cans of crescent rolls
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter
Preheat oven to 350F. Press 1 can of crescent rolls into bottom of 9 X 13 inch pan. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla until creamy. Spread over rolls in pan. Cover with other can of rolls. Melt butter and stir in rest of sugar and cinnamon. Pour over top. Bake for 30 minutes. Can be served warm or room temperature.

Weekend Recap
Hubby and I had a great weekend in Morgantown, WV. We were in town for my friend Angela's birthday. It was soo much fun to see my old co-workers (from Spa Roma, a future favorite thing). Angela looked gorgeous! Here are a few pictures -

My Birthday Wish List
My birthday is this month (June 20 to be exact). I can't believe that I am going to be 27. Hubby has asked me to post a birthday gift wish list so hear it goes -

Also, I'm looking for a pair of simple gold (not real) ball stud earrings (like Favorite Thing #28 but I don't want them to be Tiffany)

and the matching earrings

Favorite Thing #157 - Google Maps for Blackberry

Unfortunately this is another favorite thing that will only be applicable for some of you. Those of you that have blackberries MUST download this favorite thing - Google Maps Application. This is the best thing ever! It's like having a GPS unit wherever you go. It is the BEST thing ever!! Having Google Maps on your phone makes it easy to get driving and transit direction and get phone numbers and addresses for local businesses. We used this the entire time we were in FL because neither couple remembered to bring our GPS units. And really we didn't need to because we had my blackberry.

Still love Emily Giffin and Favorite Thing #57 is my third favorite book. It's her most recent one and I literally read it in two days. This is a perfect summer read. All of her books are, so if you haven't read any of them I definitely recommend you pick them all up. They should all be available in paperback. You can read a preview of her next book Heart of the Matter here. It's due out Spring of 2010.

Favorite Thing #156 - Econo Park Express
Unfortunately this favorite thing only applies to people that live in the DC/Baltimore areas. When Hubby and I went to Florida we flew out of BWI. We were going to be gone for 5 days and wanted a cheap place to park our car. Our friend Doug suggested Econo Park Express because with the internet coupon it is only $6.35/day. The price was right but I was afraid what the service would be. I can honestly say it was the BEST parking experience ever. You park your car and a bus almost immediately comes and picks you up right by your car. They give you a card that has the exact location of your car. I was very impressed. The parking lot is very close to the airport so you aren't on the shuttle for very long. I was nervous that when we got back we would have to wait a long time for a shuttle bus. We didn't. We waited maybe 3-4 minutes. We gave the shuttle driver our card and he dropped us off right at our car. When we left we each got two free bottles of water and a newspaper. It was an all around excellent experience and Hubby and I will park there every time we need long term parking at BWI. You can also sign up for their frequent parker card and you receive ONE FREE DAY of airport parking for every 6 days of paid parking.
I don't use Favorite Thing #56 - Laura Mercier Secret Brightener. As much as I did love it, it one of the more expensive make up items that I don't need. Anyone have a cheaper alternative that they love?

I love Target!
Thank you to Gigi at Gigi's Gone Shopping for posting about the new collection from Target's Merona line. When I saw the dress she had tried on I knew it would be the perfect dress on me. I headed there on Saturday hoping I would be able to find the dress in my size. Luck was on my side that day...there were two dresses left and one was my size!!! I tried it on and fell in love right away. I wore it this weekend for my nephew's baptism and I got so many compliments (everyone was shocked it was Target). I wore the dress with my pearl necklace and earrings and Favorite Thing #44. Here are the only two pictures I got of me in the dress. You can see the detail of the pattern but that's it. Check out Gigi's blog because she has full length pictures.

Sorry for being so MIA that past few days. Life has been crazy. After getting back from FL, work got really busy and I finally think it is slowing down again. Hubby's family was in town this weekend for our nephew's baptism. Hubby was the godfather.

The craziness continues this weekend. I'm heading to Morgantown, WV (home of my alma mater) for my dear friend's wedding. I was going to have all of you decide what dress to wear for the wedding but I didn't have time to take pictures and post everything. I have another wedding this month so I will try and do it for that wedding.
