Five Friday Favorites - Fall Shoes

You guys really liked last week's Five Friday Favorites focused on outerwear pieces for fall/winter so I thought I'd keep it going with shoes this week. 

#1 - Booties

Who doesn't love a good pair of booties.?!?!  I know I do, in fact I'm slightly obsessed and have five pairs in my closet.  In my defense, I've collected them over the past few years and wear them ALL THE TIME in the fall and winter.  I have two basic black pairs (one heel, one flat) and three beige/nude ones (one flat pair I bought this year and two with heels).  There are so many great booties out there but I'm partial to Vince Camuto...they are so comfortable and really great quality.  Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack have great options available! 


#2 - Rainboots

I've really needed rain boots this season...it has rained SO much.  These are a staple on rainy days, esspecially on the weekends when I'm out running errands or at mini's games.  They are comfortable and cute.  I've had the black glossy pair for 5+ years and they are still in excellent condition.  I recently had a great find of these blue shorter ones at Nordstrom Rack.  Hunters are definitely worth the splurge because they will last AND you can use them all year round...just put some of the sock liners in when the weather gets cold and you've got snow boots! 

#3 - Fashionable Sneakers

I never had "fashionable" sneakers in my closet till having kids and was running around all the time.  Now I've got a few go-to pairs that I basically live in on the weekends during the fall/spring months.  If you are looking for a pair that will go with basically any weekend casual outfit then I would recommend either of the two I have above...so comfortable and a great neutral to pair with anything!  I also love these black Vince ones that are on sale and these Target pink ones.    

#4 - High Boots

I LOVE me a high boot.  You will start to see me in these ALL the time in the later fall, early winter months.  They are cute, comfortable and really make an outfit.  In my closet, I've got a basic flat black pair, a dressier black heel pair I wear to work, a flat brown pair (on the right) that I wear the most and I just added the pair of the left from Target...a cute suede slouchy style.  With these boots I recommend investing in a pair of Frye or Sam Edelman's for your everyday ones and then the more trendy ones get at like a Target because you never know how long they will be in style.  

#5 - Flats

Flats can be a girls best friend or incredible uncomfortable.  I have a few go-to flats that have gotten me through 18+ hours on my feet...my favorite hands down, most comfortable flats are from Tory Burch.  They are definitely a splurge but last forever and are very comfortable.  I have three pairs (black, black patent, brown) and have had all three for 5+ years! If you are looking for a great neutral flat...check out these from Caslon...bunch of colors available but I have the nude for a nice go with any color.  I also love a fun flat too...and these leopard ones from J.Crew Factory are fun but not nearly as comfortable.  They are good for a basic work day. 

Five Friday Favorites - Recent Purchases

Lots of amazing fall items out there that I wanted to share my Five Favorite recent purchases.  A diverse grouping of stores with some of the items on sale.  Everything in this list is under $50!  So here we go...in no particular order. 

#1 - Universal Thread Utility Jacket

This is a great utility jacket from Target's Universal Thread line.  Soft material.  Lightweight.  Perfect item to layer when we have these weird early fall temperatures...cool then hot and cool again.  Fit is true to size. 

#2 - Ruffle Sleeve Dress

LOVE, LOVE this dress.  It's the perfect transition dress this season but also from winter to spring.  Great price point at under $40.  Comes in a bunch of colors.  True to size.   

#3 - Everleigh Blouse

I LOVE this blouse.  It's super cute for work or play.  This came in my last Trunk Club and it was love at first try on.  Lots of great detail.  Surplice style with bow tie sleeves.  Comes in a bunch of colors and is currently on sale. 

#4 - Faux Wrap Top

I don't know what I love more about this top - the color or the faux wrap style.  Super soft cotton,  Very flattering style and is perfect for work or play.  Pair with jeans or dress pants.  True to size.  And it's just under $50 but you know I'll be on the look out for it to go on sale.  

#5 - Hooded Top

I've be really loving the Daily Ritual brand from Amazon and this hoodie is AMAZING.  So soft and comfortable.  Comes in other colors.  And it's under $30!  I sized up for a looser fit.  Definitely recommend this!  

Recent Amazon Fashion Haul

I've had the BEST luck with Amazon lately and my fashion finds so I wanted to do a quick round up of some of my favorite items at REALLY great prices. 

Well it took me all summer but I finally found a great one piece. How cute is this one from Cupshe! Love the color and pattern combo. I feel secure but still a little sexy (or at least Hubs thinks so). True to size (wearing a S...I usually size up from my usual size in bathing suits). It's under $30. Definitely recommend! 

I really love the Daily Ritual brand that you can find on Amazon. This hooded long sleeve tee is fabulous. The fabric is SO soft. Comes in solid colors as well. Love the longer length so it works well with leggings. I sized up to a small for a looser fit. Get this look - top, leggings, shoes. 

Absolutely LOVE this Ella Moon top. The lace detail is amazing. Perfect for work or play. And you can add pops of color with your jewels and shoes. I found the fit a little snug so I'd size up. I'm in an XS but would rather a S. Get this look - top, necklace, pants and shoes.  

This is one of my favorite finds because it's a look for less and it's AMAZING.  Super soft fleece jacket and will be a staple for me in my fall/winter wardrobe. 

My name is Christina and I'm addicted to pajamas.  :) I loved the sleeveless pineapple pajamas from Mae brand on Amazon so I decided to try the long sleeve ones and I LOVE them. These heart ones are sooo cute and soft. I'm wearing a small and they fit great. Come in a few different patterns. 

Love this blouse...super cute ruffle detail with black trim on the sleeves. Fit is true to size. A little sheer so you will want to wear a cami under it. Comes in other colors. True to size. It's under $20! Get this full look here - top, pants and similar shoes.  

Another Daily Ritual win...I'm really loving this turtleneck pullover. It's super soft cotton, great fit and under $30!!! Comes in a couple other colors. I sized up to a small for a looser fit. Looks great with jeans or dress it down for a more athleisure look. Get both of these looks -

Nordstrom Rack Finds

Since Nordstrom Rack has a minimum of $100 for free shipping (and I hate paying for shipping) I thought I would share with you a recap of my favorite pieces that have moved over there so you can start shopping for these bargains!  

This is one of two pairs of my favorite Vince Camuto booties that have moved over to Nordstrom Rack and they are under $70!!! I have them in two colors I love them so much. Fit is true to size and they are VERY comfortable. 

The other pair of Vince Camuto booties I love are these flat ones and they are also under $70! Come in a bunch of colors with a good amount of sizes left but they won't last long. Some say they run a half size big but I am fine with my traditional size. 

This is my FAVORITE color because it works all year long.  And this #gibsonliy dress is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall because you can layer it.  Other colors available.  True to size. 

This is my favorite piece from the #gibsonxliy collaboration.  The stripe shirt is SOOOO soft.  It's super cozy and can be worn all year long.  Runs big so I recommend sizing down.  I'm wearing petite XS.  Also comes in navy and white stripe. 

You've probably been seeing me (and definitely will keep seeing me) sport these super cute slip ons from Vince. I got them last year at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and now they've moved over to Nordstrom Rack for under $100. They are the perfect fall shoe. Dress them up or down. They go with so much and are super comfortable. Comes in a few colors. True to size. And the stripe shirt is a fabulous new find from Target so a great price point...get it here.

These Vince milo slides are SO comfortable and such a great fall/winter shoe.  Goes with almost any outfit.  Most colors are sold out but the black (which is probably the most versatile) is still available in a lot of styles.
